ARCHIVED Introducing Baby Cereal

My husband and I have a 6 month old baby. He just turned six months on Oct. 27. We are trying to figure out when and how is the best way to introduce foods that aren't gluten free? There is baby oat cereal and barley but I'm nervous about introducing them since I have celiac disease. My husband is allergy free. Any tips?
