  1. HI there! I have had chronic diarrhea as far back as 7th grade EVERY. TIME. I. EAT. To the point where I dont eat if I will be leaving the house any given day, I dont eat while on vacation pretty much with the exception of VERY small things so I dont die lol. I went to a endo with a host of problems including thinning hair, my guy issues, heart palpitations...
  2. May 21st. I am trying no gluten for a week. that gives me a little over 3 weeks on gluten, and that is just until his GI appointment. That isnt the biopsy, that is to decide if they are GOINg to do the biopsy, so I have at least a month. I want to see if it makes a difference, and think that can help out the doctor if he was off gluten for a week and I see...
  3. I dont know much about your case, or dna testing for that, but Ill tell ya one thing Doctors dont know everything. They are not all knowing, and the medical feild is every changing. With that, I would say yes, you can have celiacs and not have the gene. My son has had every weird syptom a 2 year old could have. And doctors dont know why. They just...
  4. nursing at keyboard again. here is what an esr is.... The ESR is an easy, inexpensive, nonspecific test that has been used for many years to help diagnose conditions associated with acute and chronic inflammation, including infections, cancers, and autoimmune diseases. isnt celiac autoimmune?
  5. nak. she said under 75 is normal for iga. i googled high esr rate and everything that comes up is people asking people, even on this site, if they had been checked for celiacs.
  6. Someone tell me i am justified in feeling freaked. Maybe I cant read. Everything I read said IGA is high in celiacs? Am I reading wrong? His is 122, which would be much higher then the normal? Even Esr or sed rate is right? Help!
  7. Doctor left me a note with receptionist saying normal for celiacs. She is sending me the results in the mail, but told me 2 tests were high. Esr, or sed rate, was 31... Iga was 122, which she said they look for low for celiacs. Any significance? He is gluten free today. We all are. And my son has not had ONE tantrum or melt down all day. Last...
  8. I have an 8 month old son also and was wondering signs in infants. He is small, 5th percentile, so not off the charts, but slowly moving to the lower end. He also is getting eczema on him like my other son does, although not as bad yet. He has the weirdest poop though, and I am not sure what it is. He is breastfed, and it is the yellow, and it is runny ...
  9. I am definatly open to anything, the doctors are treating symptoms and there has GOT to be a reason my baby keeps having weird things happen to him. I am convinced it is a food allergy, gluten or not. I checked up on that disease, he doesnt have nearly any of the symptoms aside from that, and on the little check list, he only has 1 1/2 points and 5 is what...
  10. NO we are not gluten free. I just heard of this the other day when someone said my son sounded like her son. I was looking into candida and red dye. We eat actually very healthy. More so now then before, but we dont buy junk or processed food. We eat tons of plain yogurt and fruit, veggies, and fresh meat. We use Eziekiel bread which is just about as healthy...
  11. Exactly. Mrsa is a penecillian resistant staph, so we gotta use some bactrum (I know I slaughtered how to spell those meds!). Every time we go to the hospital we are in a private room beacuse we are contaminated. They have done nose swabs, but it recolonizes. It can reolonize and do no harm. I am sure dh is colonized, he lives here with us! They have...
  12. You can really see his belly and his dark cicles. He has bad eczema too all over that little body. Celiac Belly? http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w329/lo...es/IMG_1124.webp http://i520.photobucket.com/albums/w329/lo...es/IMG_1122.webp I hope these links are clickable! Here is one that is him on a normal day before church (so you can see his eyes...
  13. Thanks! I actually started this search looking up Candida and red dye! Definatly something there with both of them. He has quite a few syptoms of celiacs (big belly, runny nose, behavior problems, anemic, diarreah, eczema) so I figure we will try this first, if not, then I am going to try the diet anyway, then go on to either yeast or red dye!
  14. IM sorry, perhaps I didnt explain our history well enough as I wasnt really thinking it was celiacs related! My husband worked at the public schools as a custodian when my kids first got it. My first son who is a twin was hospitalized 2 times for ear infections (yeah that is a whole other story) a month before he got it. My sister and her husband had...
  15. Ataxia and vertigo were the exact words on the referral to the neurologist we saw at childrens.
