About Me

I love spending time with my family, my dog, my fiance, and my friends. I like good music and going to good shows with good friends. I have a passion for dogs and there's nothing I wouldn't do for them. I have an insatiable appetite for knowledge. I'm interested in history, especially World War II and the War of Northern Aggression. I'm a pretty good mix of girly girl and tomboy; I love going shopping and getting my hair done, but I also enjoy riding my BMX bike in the mud and going to the firing range with my Glock 23. I have a pretty rigorous workout regimen that I adhere to, and although I don't like getting up at 0dark30, I relish every minute of it. My favorite bands are Norma Jean, Thursday, Every Time I Die, and Brand New, but I also thoroughly enjoy Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and the Wallflowers, among others. My strong faith in God has gotten me where I am today, along with the constant and unwavering support of my amazing family; I know that I would be nowhere without them and they're my heroes. I like to be inspired and hope to serve as an inspiration to others to go out and live life fully, faithfully, and wholeheartedly. I know that I am very blessed and thank God for all that He has given me, all I have accomplished thus far, and all that I have yet to accomplish in my life.

  1. Thanks so much! Where do you find Gilliam's French Bread Rolls? And do you happen to know the fat content of them? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have to add to this post since I was just in a police academy as a recruit, and while the academy is VERY strenuous and physically challenging, our instructors added a significant amount of Tabata circuits to our weight lifting and running, and I strongly felt that the Tabata helped to further increas my strength and stamina, in addition to helping me to...
  3. Hey y'all, just wondering if anyone here has heard anything regarding any possibly upcoming production of Gluten Free Pantry's angel food cake mix? I LOVED this product and I am at a loss as to where to find this product since it has been discontinued without any further word about it. Also, if anyone knows where I can purchase boxes of this product, I would...
  4. So, I'm mourning the loss of my beloved Trader Joe's gluten-free French Rolls. When I discovered them nearly a year ago, I was skeptical, but upon tasting (more like devouring) one, I drove the 45 minutes back up to the store and bought the last three packages they had on their shelves. I made the trek up to the store weekly for the sole purpose of buying...

  6. My favorite pizza toppings are fresh mushrooms, fresh diced green peppers, fresh diced cherry tomatoes, Kraft natural fat free shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and fat free grated parmesean cheese. Oh great, now I'm craving a pizza!
  7. Thanks for all of y'all's great tips and recipes. I will definitely try the baked macaroni with cauliflower; that sounds delicious and I can easily modify that into being completely fat free (with the exception of the pasta, which has very little fat) as well. My fiance went out for me last night and bought a box of DeBoles corn elbow and a box of Quinoa...
  8. That's a good idea, but I'm afraid that after taking a bite, I'd want the rest of it, which would mean disaster for my pancreas! but I still may indulge in a bite or two.
  9. I, too, have the same problem. Sometimes it's not enough to simply tell people about your food allergies because they either 1) just think that they have to look for "wheat" or "gluten" in ingredient lists, 2) think I'm being a pain in the butt, 3) act as if my dietary restrictions aren't that important, or 4) don't understand how sensitive I am and that...
  10. This sounds great but I hope that they post the nutritional information about it asap so I can assess the fat content. Unfortunately, it is pretty hard to find good tasting food that satisfy the requirements I need, which are gluten free and low fat, due to medical restrictions. It is especially difficult to find baked goods that satisfy these requirements...
  11. As far as working out goes, I recently discovered Luna bars, which are great. They are 70% organic but do contain oats, so if you can't or don't know if you should eat oats, I would advise against trying them. However, I'm able to eat oats and haven't (*knock on wood*) had any problem with these nutrition bars. They're also low in fat; there are about 3....
