  1. So I have been eating (and feeling) horrible for months now. IBS, which leads to anxiety, which lead to self medication. Last week I got fed up and stopped drinking alcohol. Three days ago, I decided to try a pure elimination diet (actually suggested by my psychiatrist). No grains, eggs, dairy, nightshades, etc. Nothing but pure meat, fruits and veggies....
  2. Mine started about two years ago and progressed slowly to being very intense and nearly unbearable, to the point of having panic attacks in grocery stores. How long did it take for yours to resolve?
  3. One of my major symptoms is non-heartburn GERD symptoms: waterbrashing, extreme nasal congestion, dry cough, gagging/regurge feeling.
  4. So I am trying again. For the first week or so, full paleo diet. Fish, chicken, eggs, fruits, veggies, nuts. No alcohol (I normally have a beer or glass of wine at night) Man, withdrawal is even more intense this time. In fact, I never really brought myself to stop except for up until after finals last spring. Now I have new symptoms: a chronic low grade cough (last 3 weeks), almost never productive, that feels...
  7. I'm on hour 48 of no gluten. I feel like I'm living in a daze. Very weird.
  8. Thank you for your replies. It's interesting how, now thinking about it, I eat gluten every single meal almost. I won't have health insurance again until the fall, and if I can start to feel better now, I am going to go that route. Is there a link to snack foods that are gluten free and relatively unprocessed? I will start off major meals with just super...
  9. Hey everyone. I am 24 year old male with no health insurance for the moment. Other than the issues I describe below, I am (or was at least...) perfectly healthy, not overweight or underweight, athletic, etc. My story begins when I was a kid. Once a week or so for as long as I can remember, I would get really bad cramps/abdominal pain and D. The rest of...
