  1. Yes, I'm sure it must be some other food bothering me. I haven't had any big changes in my life lately other than finishing school for the year and starting a summer job. I will start a food journal tomorrow morning and see where I go from there. Should I just start very basic, fruits and veggies and such? Or just continue to eat normally and track everything...
  2. Amber, I'm in the exact same situation. I'm 22 years old, and have only been diagnosed for a year. I started getting sick about a month ago, it seems I get quite ill in the afternoons, no matter what I eat. I think I will start a food journal to track everything. If you find anything that might help, please let me know! Dani
  3. I was hoping someone could shed some light on my particular issue. I was diagnosed with celiac 2 months ago. In the last few days, I've noticed that my hands have been going numb. Although it is mostly the pinky and ring finger, it does stretch into my palm. The wierd part is that I was sent for celiac testing to begin with because my hands were going dark...
  4. Welcome! I'm pretty new at this too, so my advice might not be the best. First, I'm pretty sure you can still have corn starch. You have to watch out for things like 'food' starch, since it could possibly be wheat. There are gov't regulations in Canada and the US though, and manufacturers should have to state the type of starch if it does contain one...

Now I usually make some basted soft eggs with some gluten-free toast (I like white tapioca bread (kinnikinnik), or the cheese bread (glutino)). It's really good if you put the bread in the toaster oven with some shredded cheese on top! Dani
  6. Newly diagnosed (May 2009). 20 years old from Edmonton!
  7. Hi all, I was diagnosed back in May, and am slowly making the transition over. I'm 20 years old and live on my own, no one else in my family has tested positive yet so I'm alone to learn everything (of course I have their support). Everything is going really well so far (well as good as can be expected), but I was just wondering what everyones take on...
  8. I was diagnosed less than a month ago. I'm a really healthy person (no past medical problems at all), so I was quite shocked when my hands started turning dark blue. It would come and go, and after about a week I decided it was time to go to the doctor. She was confused, thought it might be Raynaud's, and sent me for a plethora of tests. They warned me I...
