  1. I have heard that Sensodyne has gluten in it. Does anyone know? I really need to use it because of the damage the Celiac has done to my teeth. They're very sensitive.
  2. Are these the same "reputable medical establishments" that have been telling me there's nothing wrong with me when there obviously is? If so, then I think I'd rather keep reading and making up my own mind! Reading about candida doesn't require me to spend money, thankfully, but seeing multiple doctors and undergoing multiple tests does. I'm still seeking...
  3. I suspect that eating gluten when your body is producing an immune response to it, just makes your body more susceptible to an invader like Candida. I am just reading a book about Candida right now and am contemplating doing the Candida diet for a couple months as I am sure I have that too. Fascinating stuff.
  4. I agree...the testing for this disease, and the attitudes of the doctors to its myriad obscure symptoms, falls extremely short, and really you are on your own when it comes to getting answers. I'm an RN myself and yet I still say this. I feel very strongly that I know my own body, and after years of reading and researching I was told there was nothing wrong...
  5. Thanks no-more-muffins! (great name btw!) Good luck with the enterolab test. I am sure you will be very glad you did it, as I was. OK, so today is the last day of my gluten challenge and I am SICK! I feel so ill right now. I have had to keep talking to myself and telling myself just 2 more days, just 1 more day.... I cannot believe how ill this has made...
  6. I did the Gluten Sensistivity Stool and Gene Panel Complete for $369 and then they offered a free dairy tolerance test and then I ordered the egg one on its own. It cost me in all about $500. I have not submitted to my insurance because I have had so many things lately (3 surgeries, multiple doctor visits for a herniated disk incl MRI, and multiple dental...
  7. You can go to their website (link below) and order their tests online and they will send you everything you need to do the tests that you choose. They are based in Texas but I am in Connecticut and could do everything by UPS. I did the complete Celiac panel and also the Dairy and Egg test too. It wasn't cheap but I am so glad I did it because now I know what...
  8. Not necessarily, as Enterolab state that the antibodies remain in your stool for up to a year. I just got my postive results too. My antibodies were 135. Welcome to the club!
  9. Sounds yummy. I love quinoa. It has a wonderful nutty flavor.
  10. Thank you very much. I understand now. I appreciate your help.
  11. I sympathize. It is really expensive. I go to Whole Foods sometimes (commonly known as Whole Paycheck) and am amazed when I get to the checkout! Do you try to bake thing from gluten free flour? I make some amazing gluten free orange cranberry muffins. It really helps break the monotony. In fact I think i should post the recipe in the recipe section!
  12. I eat this a lot...it's delicious! It's also extremely quick making it perfect for a mid-week meal. Boil up a batch of quinoa and add a vegetable stock cube to the water (as long as it's gluten-free). Meantime, chop up an onion, red pepper and some sausage of your choice. I use a sweet chilli sausage from Trader Joe's that's gluten-free. Fry the...
  13. I have my Endoscopy booked for Monday afternoon, and this weekend concludes a very difficult period of wheat and gluten consumption. I am feeling absolutely TOXIC right now. Ugh. I've been over indulging in bread, cakes, cookies, ice cream....all the stuff I should never eat. I feel bloated, nauseous, sick and poisoned. This is nasty. Can't wait for Monday...
  14. I think so but I don't know. I'm having my Endoscopy on Monday but I have been wheat free (although not gluten-free) for about a year. I've been eating wheat for the past few weeks and I feel toxic!
  15. It took 2 weeks and 2 days. They sent me a detailed explnation but I still don't understand the gene/subtyping thing. This is what they gave me as an explanation: Interpretation Of HLA-DQ Testing: HLA-DQB1 gene analysis reveals that you have one of the main genes that predisposes to gluten sensitivity and celiac sprue, HLA-DQB1*0201 or HLA-DQB1*0302....
  16. Thanks for that. I have read it but am still none the wiser. Can anyone explain to me what I am?
  17. I got my results from Enterolab today and they are positive. However, I do not understand the whole gene DQ thing. Here are my results: HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 1: 0302 HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 2: 0301 Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 3,3 (Subtype 8,7) What does that make me? Am I DQ1? DQ3? I don't understand how to...
  18. Right now I am feeling so sick that I dare not return to gluten. I'm not even absorbing healthy food and I don't think I could tolerate a few more months of illness. I am getting weaker and more fatigued all the time. I am not sure if my doctor or my insurance company will authorize an endoscopy with a negative blood panel. I have asked for copies of the...
  19. Thanks. That sounds great! I'll look into it. I hope I can absorb it!
  20. Hi Mushroom and thanks for your reply. Yes, I think my doctor will allow further tests. She knows and understands that I am on the ball medically speaking. She's great. It was actually her that suggested it was celiac disease. I haven't yet spoken with her personally about the blood results but I think I will make another appointment to speak with her. She...
  21. Hi folks. I am new and this is virtually my first post here. I got my celiac panel results today and as I suspected they were "within normal limits" but my Vitamin D came back very low. I have been avoiding wheat for quite a while because I also have Endometriosis and my nutritionist told me that wheat can effect the pain of that disease so I have hardly...

    ARCHIVED Muscle Milk

Hi folks! I just got an email from Cytosport following an enquiry I made, and thought I'd share the answer with you. I love Muscle Milk because it's lactose free, but I wanted to make sure it was gluten-free also. Here was the reply: Our Muscle Milk RTD
