  1. Hello everyone, I am post diagnosis one year and have had major trouble sleeping and resting and also fighting extreme depression. Many nights lie awake and cannot sleep. At the same time of not sleeping, I have been experiencing major neuropathy in my feet, legs, and hands. I did some research on line only to discover Tryptophan. The Tryptophan I...
  2. Yes, there definitely is a connection between stress and being symptomatic for me. I have been under severe tremendous stress for over 5 years now and I have been gluten free for 10 months and I STILL become symptomatic with the slightest little amount of stress. I will even become symptomatic just watching a drama on TV if it triggers me to being stressed...
  3. I am super sensitive and celiac for sure. I am extremely careful what I put in my mouth as I am allergic to wheat, soy, eggs, yeast, gluten. So, it's tough, but I am ultra careful what I put in my mouth and on my skin, etc. I still seemed to get sick at least once a month or every two months and am usually ill for 3-7 days depending on the contamination...
  4. Hello, I was extremely intolerant of all soy for about 6-8 months...now I am finding I can tolerate the oil very well with no symptoms whasoever and have normal everything if you know what I mean. But, soy lecithin tears me up! I hate being sick like that it is so terrible it will last for several days and amounts to a 5-10 lbs weight loss. Do you ever...
  5. Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your response. So far, I've been ok with the oil and have never had any disruption from it. But, the only oil I consume is Kraft salad dressing and vegetable oil (same brands each time). I do not trust all companies and maybe that is why it is has been ok so far...dunno. Do you know whether or not you have to have symptoms...
  6. Hello Kfielder, I actually am very allergic to soy, but can tolerate soybean oil, but no way can I tolerate soy lecithin. I don't understand it other than that maybe the soy oil is not as processed as soy lecithin? I really don't know. I have asked my allergist but am waiting for her response. I am totally confused about the soy thing too. I can tolerate...
  7. Actually, I re-read your email again and I am thinking that since you had anaphalactic reaction that you should just avoid soy and all soy products altogether. I get anaphalactic over wheat and I cannot imagine taking it in...I think I would just avoid the soy altogether. I'm sorry...I wish it were different for you.
  8. I am very soy allergic as well as other allergies. I think you are getting periods where your intestines are healed and then when the insult comes again it is making you sick after several insults. Being Celiac is NOT fun at all as we all are so different, but this forum is awesome. I could not tolerate any soy at all for the longest time, but now I am...
  9. I am allergic to soy, but if I consume soybean oil I do OK and don't have symptoms. Do I need to be worried about damaging the villi in my intestines if I don't have symptoms or become ill from the soybean oil. I do, however, get extremely sick from any of the other types of soy. Can anyone tell me should I be consuming the soybean oil?
  10. Hello, I have DH, Thyroid and Celiac Disease. I "HAD" a place on my back that was the size of a fifty cent piece and I had it for almost two years. I didn't think much about as my Mother had the same issue and hers were never cancerous. We did not know that she was celiac, but now that she is passed, I realize that was what it was. Anyways, the goods...
  11. Hello, I am Celiac and I also have thyroid disease as well as DH. The sensitivity you are experiencing is very common with DH. The good news is that in time the DH will become less severe and alot of it will go totally away and stay away if you stay allergen free and take your iron (if you are anemic which I am assuming you are) AND you must be on a very...
