I have learned to make Quinoa and brown rice (which I eat everyday) in different ways such as using gluten-free chicken broth, or miso, or butter(my one dairy product) with cinnamon, cardamon, ginger...
  2. I don't know what your diet is like but the week before cut out processed foods and allergin foods like corn, soy, chocolate, tomato etc. Eat a bland whole foods diet. Try acupuncture, it can be very effective with pain and if the practitioner knows herbs, they might help. If you are taking calcium, make sure you take the right proportion to it of Magnesium...
  3. Oh boy, thats rough! Here's my suggestion. If he can do it, get off all processed food and eat brown rice and veggies to start with and see if things calm down. What gives me pain is eating fruit.
  4. Some biological dentists think that silver fillings that contain mercury are related to some neurological diseases. And I highly suspect it contributes to digestive problems. I am finally getting my amalgams removed after having a mouthful of mercury for years. They will be replaced by metal free composites.
  5. I sympathize as I have always been underweight even though I eat fine. I am now 47 and still underweight after being on a strict gluten free diet for 12 years. I have to take enzymes everytime I eat so the food will digest. I also have food allergies and can only have a small amouont of dairy, sugar and oil. So all the things that make one gain weight...
