  1. I found out I have celiac disease this last year. It runs in my family. And I'm thinking my 2yr old might have it as well. She's just not gaining weight. I looked up a BMI calculator for children today, and it puts her under the 5% percentile for her height. She weighs 25lbs. She looks like she's getting the blisters on her elbows and knees. She...
  2. Oh joy. Hopefully since I quit gluten my symptoms won't progress. I didn't have bad reactions until shortly after I had my daughter. Then I started having horrible IBS reactions, and blisters on my fingers, toes, tongue, and scalp, whereas before, i just had a few every once in a while on my fingers, and a few here and there on my face and scalp.

  7. Just wanted to introduce myself! I'm new here to the forum, though I think I had visited once before. A friend's father who is a doctor referred me to this forum for Celiac Support. I figure I've had Celiac Disease for a long time. It runs in my family, and my mother, aunts, uncles, first cousins, etc etc have all been diagnosed with it. I never realized...
  8. I'm curious about this as well. I was just hit really hard recently by celiac. I'd had it for a long time, not knowing what it was, but then about a year after I had my daughter I became sick nearly all of the time, until I finally made the decision to try going gluten free. After that I was about 80% better. But then I realized I was having problems...
