I'm very frustrated with my GI's office right now. I went in early last week and he gave me a lab order for blood work and scheduled an endoscopy and colonoscopy for this Thurs. He told me to wait to get the blood work done because he wanted his office to call my insurance to confirm everything was covered. And if anything isn't covered I'm supposed to... -

I went to a GI specialist yesterday and he scheduled me for an endoscopy, colonoscopy and blood work along with genetic testing. I'm a little afraid of the colonoscopy and endoscopy...what should I expect? What will the rest of the day be like for me? Also, does anyone know why they would need a colonoscopy? My GI suspects either Celiac or Mast Cells... -

I forgot to add that since I was a kid I've gotten severe nose bleeds. My mom took me to get cutirization (sp?) when I was in mid-school but it didn't seem to help. -

I had never considered I might have celiacs until a couple of weeks ago. I always thought you had to have major stomach pains but when I came across something that mentioned 40% of people don't have pain at all I started looking into gluten intollerance more. I'm still not sure I could have it, or even a gluten intollerance but please take a look at the...
