  1. Purpose of endoscopy is to test for Celiac. No diagnosis yet. However she was just diagnosed this week with Congenital Hypothyroidism. She is still eating gluten (she is only on a dairy and soy free diet) but I'm not all that knowledgeable about what products contain gluten vs. those that don't.
  2. Any experience with this? Should I push more gluten full items to be sure the endoscopy gets an accurate result? If so, what should I feed her? Any help would be appreciated.
  3. 10 month old DD had blood work done last week and I finally heard back from the GI. They said that her TSH (thyroid) was elevated (8.3) and that her celiac panel was technically normal but on the low side. From what I'm reading, hypothyroid and celiac disease go hand in hand. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Did your DC have a thyroid condition...
  4. So the blood test can come back negative and they still have celiac disease? Getting to the point your daughter did (vomiting, etc.) scares the crap out of me.
  5. I'm also curious about this because my daughter has had the "sand" in her poop that you described many, many times.
  6. I could have typed your post myself! It's amazing how similar our situations are. My DD, who is also 10 months old, has been losing weight since 6 months old and is now below the 5th percentile. She was diagnosed FTT and we start our round of specialist appointments next week (beginning with GI and then a sweat test later that afternoon). Cystic Fibrosis...
