My son has Dqa1 0201, 0301 AND Dqb1 0202, 0301. My results are Dqa1 0505,0301 and Dqb1 0301,0301. Would someone please explain these to us. Thank-you in advance

Thanks again for your reply. This all started with testing my 10 year old son he is 2 years behind in growth and very thin below 5th percentile. All his celiac blood work is negative but he also has a very low iga 78 norm is 70-300. His gi doc wants to do a biopsy and i really don't so i figure if he is allergic to wheat and can't eat it then we will go...

Is my doctor right that i can still eat wheat even with a allergy to it? We tested because i always feel bloated and constipated. my scratch tests were negative to oat, wheat rye, barley now he wants to do all patch tests to these because of my positive reactions. I am dq7,dq7 Thank-you for your repley.

My wheat patch test came back positive along with oat. Doctor said to limit wheat but that i can still have it.Are these tests accurate.

I'm wondering if these tests are accurate for wheat allergy. My skin prick test was negative and patch test positive. Any thoughts are they accurate.

Lisa, Thank-you for your reply!! on my gene test it said i didn't have dq2 or dq8 and i had a extremely low chance of having celiac. My son had 0202 and 0301 and the said he had a low chance.

I HAVE ASKED QUESTIONS BEFORE AND DID NOT GET A RESPONSE SO MAYBE SOMEONE WHO READS THIS WILL BE KIND ENOUGHT TO ANSWER. WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN YOU HAVE 2 0301DQ7 GENES? SHOULD I HAVE THE DQA1 CHECKED TO SEE IF ITS RELATED TO 0505.

I had me and my son tested for celiac gene. my results were DQB1- 0301 i have this gene from both parents and my son has DQB1 0202, 0301. I was told i was in a higher catergory because i had 0301 from both parents. Can anyone explain this.
