  1. Thanks! That makes sense...
  2. I'm assuming it is bc chiropractics only relieves a little and very temporary...it continues to get worse... and that was the first thing I noticed that went away, almost completely for 2 days -- it's something that radiates from my shoulder blades up through my head, like severe tension and achiness... It's settled down, but isn't completely gone yet...
  3. I had asked on another thread what anyone thought about me trying the gluten-free diet while I'm waiting to see a rheumy -- would it effect my upcoming test results -- like when they test for lupus, etc...not celiac. I just had my celiac panel done while still full throttle gluten and the results were a negative. The feedback from friends and advanced members...
  4. You're right...I just had an annual check-up with Ob/Gyn...everything apparently okay, but that's good to keep in mind. Thanks...
  5. Hi, So you came up with that yourself? That sounds like me. It's hard to pinpoint if I'm eating everything else wrong too, though...Like dessert after full meal loaded with gluten or candy after movie popcorn...but the more I pay attention, the more I'm convinced that it's more than a typical feeling most people get... and I'm not diabetic or been diagnosed...
  6. Thanks...I'm going to commit to this for now in order to, like you said, let my body heal, and also to keep things from getting too complicated. I think as I add things gradually, I'll know what I can handle and what I can't... I've always loved carbs of every kind -- had a love affair with them that is really hard to control...always felt better without...
  7. Just wondering if anyone out there has adverse symptoms to sugar as well as gluten? Today was my first gluten free day...not so successful... I know that sugar is not good for me and that it's good to stay away from, but I've noticed that sugar makes me feel bad in all sorts of ways similar to gluten (I've still got to confirm that thru gluten-free diet...
  8. I'm definately learning a lot here from all of your experiences...I just started gluten free diet today, not completely successful, but then again, I haven't gone to the store yet. I'm going to a friend's house tomorrow (who has celiac's) in order to check out her fridge and pantry. Like a hands on workshop. I'm definately going to have my son tested. Calling...
  9. Nice to hear that there is most likely a legitimate medical reason for that other than actually being pregnant! I'm not crazy! Looking forward to seeing the difference when I go gluten free...very soon...
  10. Thank you so much for your help!! You have been a great resource!! I'll be starting the diet soon and will post as to how it's going....
  11. I glanced over a forum last night (might be somewhere in here) that mentioned "pregnant belly" -- this is something that I deal with and never heard of anyone else feeling this way!! Is this a gluten intol/celiac symptom that a lot of people deal with? I am bloated feeling all the time. I'm overweight and hungry, have gained weight and find it hard to lose...
  12. Thanks! Couple of questions...first, what is IMHO? I'm not so up to speed. Also, when you say "celiac disease/effects", is that interchangeable with "gluten intolerance, for practical purposes? For instance, I could possibly not have celiac's and only be gluten intolerant, but it's still just as bad except my sm. intestines may not be getting destroyed....
  13. Were your ana's speckled, by chance? Mine were 1:640, speckled...
  14. Thanks for the thoughts... So, you don't think that going gluten free will effect those other tests/bloodwork even if gluten is the root problem? I'm wondering if I have another autoimmune disease because of gluten intolerance. ?? My friend who has already been thru this process thinks that maybe since my ana's were high (1:640), then going gluten free may...
  15. I took some advice from "ravenwoodglass" and called the original dr. that ordered the original bloodwork with high ANAs...she immediately ordered the celiac panel. Had blood drawn Mon. and had results back Thursday -- negative. ?? So I still have an appt with the rheum. Do I make an appt also with a GI or just wait until I see the rheum.? That appt is on...
