  1. Tiffany ~ Thank you. I have not yet found a midwife or naturopath in my area. Closest big city is over an hour away. But I'll keep looking. That's for the advice!
  2. Thank you for the feedback. I am very nervous about it, but also nervous about stopping. Do you know how I could find a naturopath locally? I've thought about finding one, but unsure how to go about a search. Thank you!
  3. I am 9 weeks pregnant and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the dr. that treats me for my gluten allergy got me in right away. He made some adjustments to the supplements I'm on, but due to my medical history, kept me on some of them and even added small amounts of some new ones. I've since found out due to my own research and my OB's that some of them...
  4. I am too fighting Candida overgrowth. Both my son and I are. I have a gluten allergy and my son a dairy allergy. We have leaky gut issues, but those are our major allergies. We have removed all sugar and yeast from our diets (we use Stevia and agave it it's place). And that seems to make a difference. We take probiotics, l-glutamine, fish oil, and have...
  5. Good to hear on the caprillic acid, I will get started on that soon and can't wait! Thanks!
  6. Riceguy ~ My dietician reccomended using Stevia and aguave syrup. I've been incorporating them into my diet as well. I'm starting to get used to the taste. I do buy only the purest stevia form. Some have fillers and I'm wary of those. I've also removed all artificial sweetners from my family's diet. They are toxic! I've been struggling with what to...
  7. I was diagnosed last year with a gluten allergy (as well as some other food allergies that should eventually go away). My Son was diagnosed with a dairy allergy. Both of us have an overgrowth of Candida (yeast overgrowth) in our bodies and our doctor/nutritionist is having us follow a sugar and yeast free diet. We also currently take olive leaf extract...
  8. I had no idea that being a celiac or having nutritional deficiencies would cause Pre-E. That explains a lot. I'm learning so much. Hopefully with my next pregnancy living gluten-free and having my vitan levels checked I will be in better shape for a pregnancy. Thanks for the information!
  9. My Functional Medical doctor is watching my nutrient levels and I am deficient in vitamin D. He's having me take supplements of various vitamins/minerals and he's retesting my levels making sure they are getting back to normal levels. At my last appointment he said I was almost there. It almost sounds like I should just make sure this doctor is involved...
  10. Thanks for all the great advice! I will search out a ND or GI doctor in addition to an OB. I think with my pre-eclampsia and GD with my 2nd child a mid-wife wouldn't be able to take me. This has been very helpful
  11. Thanks for the advice, and it's good to know that because I have a gluten allergy it won't be an issue during pregnancy.
  12. Yes, I keep pushing when we'll start trying out further. Because I know if I can heal myself, the better off my pregnancy will be. It's also a balance of I'm 36 and don't want to be too much older when I have my last child The good news is that my functional medicine doctor knows I want to start trying within 6 months or so. And said I'm getting...
  13. I was just diagnosed with a gluten intolerance 6 months ago. I've been slowly learning how to eat and feeling much better. I also have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and leaky gut syndrome. I'm also concerned I may have an underactive thyroid, but have never been able to get doctors to confirm it. I conceived my first child within the first cycle...
