  1. After finding what looked like Celiac in my small intestine during an endoscopy to try to figure out why I haven't been wanting to eat for six months, my doctor did a biopsy that came back positive for Celiac. To confirm she ordered a Celiac panel and that came back normal. Has anyone else on the forum had negative blood tests but tested positive for intestinal...
  2. I started my gluten-free diet on Sunday. I keep reading on forums and in books about cross-contamination and minute amounts in foods that shouldn't contain gluten. It has me quite intimidated! I'm currently feeling as if there's no way that I can possibly be this careful effectively. I feel like I can be 90% vigilant, but 90% isn't good enough. As an example...
  3. I was just diagnosed with celiac. A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Minimal Change Disease, the treatment for which I still feel has ruined my life. The minimal change disease started about three weeks after I started the Atkins diet which I thought was a total coincidence. But following Atkins induction is pretty much a gluten-free diet by necessity...

(I'd forgotten everything she said, yay sedative!) If I have to poison myself with gluten from...

If it led to serious illness, wouldn't they eventually be diagnosed? If your symptoms are so mild that it's not causing you serious...
  6. I've been having pretty severe appetite loss since October, and I've lost at least 40 pounds since then due to that. Finally did an endoscopy today after doing lots of blood tests and having everything come back normal. Apparently they found what they think is celiac disease during the endoscopy, still waiting on the biopsy results. Is it possible that celiac...
