  1. I would think that the problem has to be from handling and cross-contamination. The comparison between spongiform encephalopathy caused by digestion of the animal and wheat digestion of the animal is not really an accurate one. Most pathogens such as virus, bacteria, and parasites replicate in certain ways, with certain requirements, and respond...
  2. If my malnutrition was the result of flushing, how long would it take for the malnutrition to resolve? I have been gluten free for I think about 2 months, and to maintain the mag and phos levels I still have to supplement. Just wondering what I have to look forward to Cause let me tell you Phos-nak is NASTY!
  3. One thing I have not done is found out what each of my levels actually were. It appears that some doctors will take only one or two high numbers and declare the whole test negative. EDIT: Oops, I wasn't done replying when I clicked submit. It increasingly looks like trying to find the exact label won't be happening. I am just a person though who likes...
  4. Gluten-Free for several months. Wow. So finally I'm starting to see what "living" feels like! :)

  5. Any ideas on where one could purchase it? I read in a Gluten free something or other for dummies that Quinoa is really, really nutritious...but I can't seem to find any where I am at (think small and rural and cornfield).
  6. Wow! Before I went gluten free I absolutely hated meat. Now I am seriously craving chicken and pork chops and though I always used to hate the texture of most beef, I'm considering trying steak and pot roast. Anybody have an explanation for changes in food tastes off of gluten (I do admit, I haven't read all the way through the posts on this thread, so...
  7. Thank you for your reply! Don't worry, I have already decided that most likely I will not choose to go back on gluten for testing again ever, but I certainly am not going to even consider it at all until my electrolytes and vitamins have been stable for at least a year. I guess part of the reason I would prefer a solid diagnosis (but not so strongly that...
  8. I know its been awhile since anyone has commented on this post, but along with that b12 I would highly recommend having his phosphorus levels checked, as I know from my own experience that low phosphorus can cause tremors as well.
  9. Hi everyone. I really am not sure what to think. I have had digestive symptoms all of my life, and the longer I went on I accumulated more overall system stuff (chronic pain, insomnia, muscle weakness, and bone issues. When several of my electrolytes (including phosphorus and magnesium) fell below normal limits, my doctor tested me for celiac disease...
  10. From my own experience, I would recommend having a doctor check your vitamin b12, vitamin D, and electrolyte levels (including the ones they don't usually test like magnesium and phosphorus, just to be sure that you are covered, and especially with that vitamin D, if it is low enough, you may need to have a higher prescription level dose to stay healthy.
