  1. indiana joan - if you are not a doctor you should not be "diagnosing" anyone, period. not only is it rude but it could be dangerous. how would you like it if people told you you weren't celiac but instead you had ADD or whatever? and the celiac diagnosis is not simple - it took alot of testing and diet manipulation for most of us to discover we have celiac...

  3. jackay - maybe you could buy some non-perishable food in your town, box it up and ship it to your daughter's house before you go? i did that when i was visiting my parents (they live in a very tiny town in maine - no gluten-free food anywhere) and the food was waiting for me when i got there. good luck!
  4. badshark - i doubt anyone in your office was trying to make you feel bad, but let me ask you: why is it everyone's responsibility to cook for you? i'm sure your coworkers assumed you would bring in gluten free food for yourself, or perhaps they didn't want to risk making you ill by bringing in food and then finding out you couldn't eat it. it seems like...
