This is not quite the "success story" you might be looking for, but I was JUST diagnised with prostate cancer. I am 46, perfectly healthy, except I was also diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago. Maybe the malabsorbtion over the years caught up with me. I am scheduled for a "radical robotic prostatectomy" in a month and hopefully all the cancer is confined...
