  1. I feel for all of you. I have similar symptoms in terms of feeling tired after I eat. I also feel sick to my stomach and nauseated after I eat as well. This disease sucks. I have been gluten free for about 4 months and I still dont feel better. I know it can take a while, but i hope it kicks in soon. I havent heard about the Paleo diet, I will have...
  2. Hi All- At the same time I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I was also diagnosed with a hitial hernia. Does anyone else on the board have hitial hernia? My doctor told me that I shouldnt feel anything, but i do feel a sharp pain every once in a while right under my rib cage. Im wondering if that is a common symptom. Especially since my doctor told...
  3. Thanks for the information. Im going to look them up and see if I can get a appointment. I work up in Deerfield so Park Ridge is not far at all. I would love to be able to go to a gluten free support group and talk about all the symptoms I have. I would love to see if others are having the same problems. Thanks!!!
  4. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease in Feb of 2009. I had stomach issues since I was in college. Intense pains and diarrhea was just something I thought I would have to live with. After being diagnosed and going on the gluten free diet, the stomach pain and diarrhea went away. The problem that I still have is minor stomach pain and bloating. Major bloating...
  5. I am looking for a nurtionist/dietian in the chicagoland area that can really help me plan meals and stick to my gluten free diet. I have a hard time sticking to the diet and thats mostly because I cant really plan well. 7. I go to Whole Foods alot. I love to eat out as well, and there are a ton of places that have gluten free menus now. That Gluten Free store is awesome. Which flours do you get. I still havent found a bread that I like. You make your own a lot?
  8. Almost any restaurant I go to now I ask for a gluten free menu. I would say 90% of the time they have one, and if they dont, then the manager or chef will come out and give you some idea's on what they can make you. I think its becoming quite common to be gluten free. I was just diagnosed 4 months ago, so I know how you feel. Its hard, but it gets pretty...
  9. I work up in Northbrook. Have you been to the Gluten Free store on the corner of Dundee and Waukegan? That place is great. I wish I could get there more often. How long have you been gluten free?
  10. Any people with Celiac or Gluten-free that live in the chicago suburbs area. Would like to trade restuarants and food-stores that sell gluten free items.
