    ARCHIVED Dallas

Hi! I am traveling to Dallas this fall for the gluten free expo. I was wondering if anyone has any great restaurant suggestions? I have searched gluten free registry but sometimes there are great local places not listed on the site! I appreciate any suggestions! Also has anyone been to Wholesome Foods Bakery in Dallas?
  2. I actually had the same problem this week! Gluten free pasta with Ragu. I did not use a colander and the pot does not usually cause issues. I am wondering if the Ragu was cross-contaminated.
  3. I have been doing really well following a gluten free diet. However, recently I have been having issues with what seems to be cross contamination. I am the only gluten free member in my house. What are some suggestions on sharing the kitchen? Also, what are some utensils and equipment you would never share? The only things we share go through the dishwasher...
  4. I have been taking Synthroid and I called the company and they said they can not confirm the gluten free status. What is your opinion? Does anyone know of a good gluten free alternative?
  5. I tried making the normal sausage ball recipe also and got the same results. The next time I made them I had some milk to moisten them and they tasted great!! Just like the gluten version!
  6. I am traveling to Atlanta this weekend. Does anyone have suggestions for gluten free restaurants??
  7. Thanks for all the advice! Hopefully, my next Mexican meal will be successful. The language barrier is difficult but hopefully the manager can help more than the waiter. Thanks for the tips on rice and queso, those are two things I would not have thought to ask about. It is just a reminder that gluten can hide in ANYTHING!
  8. I know Mexican restaurants are not the safest place to eat. However, my family loves Mexican and I was hoping someone has suggestions on what to order? I could not eat with them and eat "safe" food later but I am hoping someone has suggestions on safe menu items??
  9. Sorry I forgot to include the reference numbers! IgA: 5 U/ml negative: <11 IgG: 5U/ml negative: <11 IgA serum: 112mg/dL 81-463 Tissue Transglutaminase: <3 U/mL negative: <5
  10. I picked up a copy of my lab results today. I was hoping someone can help me interpret the results. IgA: 5 U/ml IgG: 5 U/ml IgA serum: 112 mg/dL Endomysial Ab Screen: negative Tissue Transglutaminase: <3 U/ml Also my monocytes, MCH,BUN, and potassium were high. Any help I greatly appreciate!!
  11. Thanks so much for the help!! I have another question, they told me from my lab results I was a little dehydrated. However, all I ever drink is water. Has any one else been told this?
  12. I also forgot to mention I have been taking medicine for an under active thyroid since I was 13.
  13. I have been reading on this site for a while and everyone seems very helpful. I am 19 years old and I have been having symptoms that sound like celiac to me. About three years ago I started to notice certain foods gave me extremely bad stomach cramps and I would rush to the bathroom with diarrhea. One of these foods was Cheerios. About six months later...
