just trying to feel better's Achievements

About Me

I am a wife, mother, and educator. After many years of being misdiagnosed (Over 25 years) my body finally became so toxic that I got very ill, lost 30 pounds in less than 3 weeks. After many tests I found out that I have Celiac Disease. It was over whelming to say the least, being Italian I grew up with pasta and bread and now I have to give it up forever. I cried the first time I went shopping because it was so overwhelming and so costly.

What I didn

  1. I started a gluten free company, so working hard on that. We are getting great reviews so I am happy about that also

  2. I worry more about it at restaurants then I do at home, I control what gets cooked first if they are not eating gluten free and my food always gets cooked first. I bought a toaster oven which I use more often for single servings for myself. My husband is not gluten free and when I cook I use 2 of everything so far a year and half later no cross contamination...
  3. Started a gluten-free Business

  4. There is a lot of talk about how you cannot become ill from Gluten in shampoos and other products that are not ingested. Well I know for a fact I feel better when I use gluten-free products any one else experience feeling better when using gluten-free products.
  5. OMG, It's Gluten Free in Frankfort is having thier Grand Opening, if you eat gluten free try to get out there, the food is amazing and so are Julie and Andrew. Getting ready to go.

  6. Thank you for your information. I do take a prescription probotic, I dont have my gallbladder that was removed in 1990 and the misdiagnoses of IBS. I only drink water, very rare I drink anything else. I will look into the Curezone Liver Flush, I know my doctor is concerned about my liver because I have had two scans so far and blood work. I will ask him...
  7. Thanks you so much for all the info, never thought about make-up or other household items, just thought it was a food issue. I need to really educate myself on other items around me. I do know that my vitamins are gluten free (I called the company to make sure) Thanks again
  8. Thank you, I have heard that sometimes you become intolerant to dairy products. I see my doctor this week and I will work on seeing if eliminating these help.
  9. I was diagnosed in February of 2010 after being sick for 3 weeks and losing 25 pounds. First two months were horrible, suffering from withdrawals, then started feeling great (being Italian it was very hard for me) but I never cheated and continue to eat only Gluten free and I am actually getting used to it. Now starting to feel the same as I did before...
  10. Just looking for support and some questions to why I started feeling great and now am back to feeling like I did before I got sick and was told I had Celiac Disease
