    I had all of the symptoms that you are experiencing. I have been diagnosed with celiac (one year ago). But with all your symptoms, I would try to go gluten-free for about 2 months and if you feel better and your symptoms disappear, then I would stick with the gluten-free diet.     Hi everyone, My mother had the blood tests done for celiac and got her results today (I'm a confirmed celiac). Her blood work was all negative but she is positive for the DQ2 celiac gene. She has alot of the symptoms of celiac disease too. Her question is what does she do next? Should she proceed with a biopsy to definitely rule out any active disease...

    as far as I know, York doesn't offer the full blood serology. You can only get that from a doctors office or one of the hospitals that deal with celiac disease. Wow, I haven't heard of a breath test yet?? Any other info on that??? Thanks

    Tom, Did your insurance company pay for the camera pill?? And did you need an intestinal biopsy afterwards to confirm the celiac diagnoses?? Thanks Kris

    I sure would be interested to see what others have to say about this too. I would like to have both my kids DNA tested for celiac, but I am under the impression that the DNA results will only tell you if he has the gene for celiac. It does not necessarily mean that the celiac is "active". Therefore the person would still have to be tested with blood tests...

    I have been diagnosed with Celiac , with both blood tests and an intestional biopsy. My question stems from being on the York Laboratory web-site. They say that they have 2 tests to check for celiac disease. One that is a finger stick (or IgG) and one that is a cheek swab (IgA).
