  1. Well a couple thoughts come to mind, from someone who is struggling with many of the same issues but my bloodwork came back normal. I would be concerned that she sent your blood test results saying you likely have Celiac by mail....to me that warrants a phone call. Also, when is your next appointment? If it isn't this week, I would either call to ask if...
  2. Thanks Skylark, I was actually reading about fructose malabsorption on another thread. I will take a look at it. As far as the genetics go, they didn't even test me for that. But on my maternal side, so far we know my uncle, cousin, and my mother's cousin and her granddaughter all have it. I would think that would be enough people in one family tree...
  3. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Mushroom, I actually agree about the degree of difficulty.....it's more about preparation. And having the right foods in the house to eat, as long as I make sure I've done my shopping I really don't have much problem at all. And while it's only been 4 weeks, it has been easier than I thought it would be. I agree with...
  4. I posted a while ago after I had my blood tests done, which came back negative. I went to the gastroenterologist this morning and didn't get any real answers. She asked why my PCP had suggested me going gluten free, and why not trying something else. I said she thought maybe my stomach issues (diarrhea, bloating, pain) were from a food intolerance or allergy...
  5. Thank you for the response. That makes sense, I wasn't sure what all of the numbers meant. Like I said I'm trying to figure everything out. I hate having to wait to see a doctor for answers....and it's so hard to know whether being gluten free is making a difference yet. I think it is, but it's only been a week. Part of me feels like I am feeling better...
  6. Hello again, My PCP sent a copy of my blood test results. Trying to figure it out, but as best as I can tell they didn't test the IGG. Can they test for the gene by a blood test or is that another test? Sorry for so many questions but I'm just trying to figure everything out. I don't have a scanner at home, so here is what it says: TEST NAME ...
  7. Hello everyone, I went to my aprn last Friday because I had been having stomach issues all week, worst than normal. I almost always have diarrhea/loose stools immediately after eating, the immediate need for a bathroom, etc, in addition to gas, bloating etc. My aprn ordered blood tests, including the Celiac Panel and suggested I either go dairy free...
