  1. My 4 year old son appears to have some serious behavioral issues from exposure to gluten. He shows a lot of anxiety and seems to be very irritable - prone to ridiculous tantrums and hard to deal with. He's going to get kicked out of school if we don't figure something out to keep him from getting exposed or to minimize behavorial reactions. What type...
  2. you might try cross posting on the behavoir board (all the way down on the bottom) - i didn't realize it was there and posted my similar thread here too but you might get adults with celiac who might know there too.
  3. Man, I hear you - my son really needs a manual. And the food things -it's so hard - he's 4! It's so hard to tell. We had his evaluation.... he's been fine the last couple of days. I REALLY think his behavior issues were diet related. The OT thinks he might have a minor sensory modulation issue (which gets confused with ADHD all time - worth a look...
  4. Don't forget to change your soy sauce too
  5. Thank you for this information. I have been searching for a mystery glutening.... this might solve it.
  6. I accidentally gave my kid a whopper (the candy) the other day - DUH! Mid bite I yelled "Stop!" I just blanked completely.
  7. Well 2 days have gone by and none of these insane tantrums. He is still showing anxiety signs though. But I have kept him out of school to be in a better environment. He has an OT evaluation on Wednesday so that will be interesting. My husband is convinced it is gluten related. I am feeling like it is probably gluten but reserving judgment so i am not...
  8. My son's only real symptom of celiac was anemia. Reading through your post though, my main thought was to try removing all gluten - hidden too. Because if you have celiac, those are hurting your villi too and that could be causing your other problems. Additionally, I would call your dr and ask for a copy of your celiac test to see where you were. ...
  9. I forgot - my 4 year old has an envirokid bar a day practically - he likes them all but especially the one withe penguin which has fruit stuff and rice krispie stuff we make a lot of rice chexie treats and do them plain or with pb or chocolate chips Fish sticks - blue horizon wild make FAB ones
  10. Yes, Bell and Evans gluten-free are fabulous! No input on kid friend crackers - eh. We like the glutino table ones - most like saltines. the blue diamond ones aren't horrible either. graham crackers - kinnickinnick - pretty decent! they make and animal cracker and graham cracker that are decent too - a little "make you cough" but decent. They have...
  11. Some of the huge weight on my chest just lifted. Thank you for sharing.
  12. Great info - thanks! I am definitely suspected Sunday night again... He was acting really weird in the middle of the night too on Sunday. He came into our bed at 4 am (unheard of generally) and was thrashing around banging his head etc. DH and I were concerned.
  13. I know this is silly, but I was curious specifically about the Kellogg's ones. My friend dropped off an enormous amount of Kellogg's fruit snacks. Her kid has EE and doesn't eat wheat so I have trusted them and fed them to him. However, my son is currently reacting to something and I can't figure out what!! I have given away the rest of these but the...
  14. Just following up on this -has anyone's kids reacted to fruit snacks of any kind? Mine has had a bunch of kelloggs ones and I am curious.
  15. Has she been tested for celiac disease?
