  1. Welll...the rash improved and flared and improved and flared again this last month so its tough to say. My doctor suggested the UV therapy but there isn't any places closer than 60 miles away for that..unless I hit a tanning bed lol. What antibiotics did u use? I will start back on my probiotics (Acidophilus) tomorrow.
  2. DixieBell- he did two biopsies. One next to a lesion and one that was one actually a lesion. Sent it away to Northwestern. RavenWoodGlass- Yes, my blood tests showed normal and "unlikely" to have celiac disease. My doctor did agree that I still may be Gluten intolerant even tho the blood test was negative and told me to trust my body, watch...
  3. My doctor finally called me in today and said that although my IBS symptoms do corralate to a gluten sensitivity and likes that since I went Gluten-Free 3 weeks ago my stomach issues have subsided.... my rash tested Positive for Pleva or Mucha Habermann Disease and doesn't believe it is Herpetiformis Dermititis. This is treated by Light Therapy and ridiculously...
  4. I have had what I believe to be HD or DH for 4 months. After finding this site I gave up Gluten and Iodized Salt and Shellfish (Iodine) and the rash has gotten better, but not gone yet. Switch out all of your seasonings. That was the main source of my salt issue. I'm still finding many products that contain G, every day in my home though. From what I...
  5. I am reading, "The Gluten-Free Diet" by Elisabeth Hasselbeck that my family so nicely bought for me for Christmas and it said to watch the labels on your medicines and vitamins....well...the Vitamins that I began taking again to help my body restore some of what was lost in my suffering intestines- CONTAINS WHEAT! So much for that Gluten-Free diet I've been...

  7. is still waiting for HD to go away and biopsy results to come in.

  8. Anyone have any Quick & Easy Gluten Free Cornbread Recipes?
  9. Thank you CassP. Not 100% positive that the rash I've had for 4 months is DH but my Derm def thinks it looks like it that's why he dismissed my GP's original diagnosis of Contact Dermititis and did immediate biopsys from two spots on my arms..( which are the worst of my body, next stomach and legs). Between my life long problems ( IBS symptoms, anemic,...
  10. Thank you Mushroom. I was relieved to think my Dermatologist had given me a hope/ answer to this DH problem and in the process solved the rest of the (so I thought) unrelated problems I've had my entire life. When the test came up negative today I was so frustrated, thinking "NOW WHAT?!" Either way, yes, I do feel better gluten free with my IBS problems...
  11. I had no idea that personal care products had Wheat in them! Geez! Anyone have a list of the "no-no's" ? My DH covers me from neck to toe... getting better going gluten free this last week but EVERY time I eat salt- I start itching
  12. My Blood Test Revealed Immunoglobulins- IgA 271 I will get the full panel results tomorrow..this is all they had for me today. The lab lady said it showed that "Celiac Disease is Unlikely" Still waiting for the two Biopsy results to come in Well....if that is true... then why is it that since I eliminated Gluten from my diet *for the...
  13. Dear DrGoogle- Yay more rash friends lol. I have been Gluten Free since last Friday after I had my biopsies and my rash IS healing. It is a very difficult adjustment to not grab a PB&J for lunch or a quick sandwich for dinner when life is so hectic....def have to plan my meals out. Many of my other symptoms like IBS are disappearing and crazy enough...
  14. My HD started 4 months ago and my GP treated it as an allergy to hairdye, then soap, then cleaning chemicals, etc. Treated with Antihistimines, Antihistimine creams, and Prednizone 6x- one week at a time then 2 week break in between due to the effects steroids can have on immune system. In the beginning it was only on my arms and with each breakout it...
  15. I woke up this morning and saw all of your posts and cried. Thank you so much for responding. I live in a household with two active, slim children and a hungry husband who I swear eat more 'gluten' products than anything and was not having such a positive response with the idea of no more waffles, pancakes, bread, etc in our home. We do eat a ton of fresh...
  16. Four months ago my arms broke out in a horrific rash that my GP treated as Contact Dermititis to my hair dye. Well, four months later I was seriously tired of this itchy rash that now covers my entire body, except my head. I demanded a blood test and saw a Dermatologist. He did a biopsy yesterday. Since then, I've been looking/ learning online about Celiac...
