  1. I haven't looked into casein vs. lactose and I will--some dairy products (yogurt, ice cream, milk) have more of an effect while I don't notice anything with others (butter, thankfully). As for the type of yogurt, I use plain Nancy's organic, so pretty good on the artificial ingredients front. Thanks for the replies!
  2. Hello, I've always noticed some degree of lactose intolerance but ever since I began a gluten free diet, my symptoms have escalated. I now can't even eat a little yogurt without feeling the aftermath. Can anyone tell me why this might be, and if it is safe to consume dairy if my intestinal lining is damaged? Does it slow healing time? Thank you...
  3. Thanks so much, it's nice to hear you had a similar experience but made some changes anyway and improved. I have a hard time trusting myself without a doctor to back me up, but I'm too excited about the idea of solving all this and just need to go with my gut, haha. The change could be kind of fun I suppose, new recipes, etc.
