  1. My daughter (who has type 1 diabetes) has HLA-DR types DRB1*04, DRB4*01 and DQB1*03. Does anyone know if any of these are associated with celiac? My other daughter has DRB1*03, DRB1*07, DRB3*01, DRB4*01, DQB1*02 and DQB1*03. I have the same ones as my first daughter plus DRB1*07. Any geneticists out there who could tell me what these mean in terms...
  2. I did reschedule the biopsy for April 4th, with a heavy heart. My daughter looks all swolen and her tummy looks distended and hurts. I feel badly that she might have to go this long on gluten. I also know ther is no guarantee that the biopsy won't miss the patches of damage, if they are there. There is no way she could ever do the full gluten challenge...
  3. She had her blood drawn today, so she has been eating a bagel a day for 4 days. She was gluten-free for 10 days before that, and has avoided gluten w/sporadic ingestion f it for about 6 months. The blood test was the anti-endomysial ab, and IGA. Perhaps he blood tests will also be invalid, but they are easier to redo than a biopsy! I think I will call...
