  1. Well...results are in. Negative bloodwork and negative biopsy. I'm back to square one. Thanks for all of your kind thoughts. I wish you all the best.
  2. Thanks for the information Peter. I'm anxiously awaiting my results. In the meantime, I'm making my first gluten-free grocery list. Gonna try this diet and see if I can start feeling better!
  3. The endo wasn't bad. I think I fought them a little because I remember a nurse stroking my face and telling me to take a deep breath. No pain though. It's really true that the anticipation is the worst part of the whole thing. I woke up feeling groggy, but fine. I do have a bit of a sore throat today, but it's not bad, and I suspect it's because I moved around...
  4. Well...I'm back from my EGD. The paper they gave me at the end says that my intestinal mucosa look normal. Does that mean that the biopsy will likely be negative as well? Have any of you had positive biopsies after "looking" fine through the scope? Thanks. Mary
  5. Oh I hope you get some answers. I hope we both do. I never really knew how badly I was fatigued until I spent a few days gluten free. The first day back on, I ate a sandwich and just like you said, a few hours later I felt like i had been hit by a truck. Here's hoping your doc is feeling cooperative tomorrow!

  7. I'm trying to prepare myself for that fact, but I feel like I'm going to lose it if they tell me nothing's wrong. I will probably go on the diet regardless, but I know that I will get very little support here at home without a positive diagnosis. I've had a rough week this week and hearing things like "I don't know how wheat can all of a sudden make you sick...
  8. I'm going in for an EGD and intestinal biopsy tomorrow and I'm so anxious about it. I almost want to be diagnosed with celiac disease just so I can have a clear path forward.
