  1. I have had some mild nausea my whole life, randomly. As a kid I had anxiety and was actually diagnosed with ADD but it was really just mild anxiety. My anxiety was from a fear of vomiting in public, I gag really easily and felt sick often( in class, the bus, etc.). I also had chronic constipation. I also would wake up in the middle of the night with chills...
  2. My problems have been anxiety, abdominal pain, and constipation. I never had the really urgent need for a bathroom, quite the opposite. I have been back to a gluten and dairy free diet now for a little over a week. Today at a family picnic I just felt so much tension and anxiety. I did not consume any gluten and cross contamination if it occurred...
  3. Thanks for the responses. I am a little excited, going back on the diet starting tomorrow. The doctor saw me on friday and strongly agreed finally to the diet. So back I go. As for genetic testing, does it matter if you are eating gluten free when you do the test? I can't imagine why it should I just want to know.
  4. I have been in testing for celiac. Blood indicates mostly normal levels although the TTG seemed borderline, the doctor does not really believe in the blood test so that is the good news. My next step is gene testing. I did the endoscopy but was already gluten free and they did not take biopsies. My doctor thinks that another endoscopy is pointless he...
  5. I have had some ups and downs. I have done some gluten challenging. My problem is I don't get instant reactions, it seems like for me, I need a build up of gluten. Then I get the same pattern of sharp stabbing pains all throughout my upper body. I get swallowing problems, where it feels like food goes down very roughly and burns. I feel...
  6. ITG 6 TTG 359 They say not celiac because I was less than 10 in the ITG but isn't the TTG at 359 kind of high? Or does that not matter?
  7. Thanks for the replies Well, the pain tonight got so bad that it felt like I was having heart problems. My anxiety shot through the roof and I sort of panicked. I think my mental state was worn out from the pain and I drove to the ER. The ER doctor was super nice. They tested my heart-normal, my blood-everything normal-catscan of my abdomen...
  8. Yeah, it was fun in the hospital. I have too much faith in the system, because I truly believed I was going to leave with some answers. It was the absolute opposite. Anyway, I no longer have health insurance. I am un-insurable at the moment, well to put it mildly the premium increase is so outrageous it would be more than my mortgage monthly. I...
  9. Thanks for all the replies. I am starting back on the diet. My family is supportive I just think that because I challenge the gluten free diet and I have yet to get a diagnosis that it sort of becomes this mild joke. Their intentions are good, but I think everyday they wonder, is he gluten free or not? My doctor had me testing and eating gluten...
  10. I went off the diet for a week. It was not instant the pain, in fact I kind of laughed at first because I felt good. I think the drug effects of being able to eat pizza and hamburgers etc. are pretty fun. But within 4-5 days I started to feel the stomach pain, it was manageable at first. Then last night it was just incredible. It was burning, it was...
  11. I have twice done the gluten free diet. Both times I had a moments where I felt like my blood sugar dramatically dropped and I felt horrible. My symptoms I got extremely shakey my heartrate increased I felt like fainting I felt weak I felt breathless Both times felt like panic attacks, but are different. I have had a panic attack, these...
  12. It is a big deal. But possibly a rewarding big deal. I would not sweat about it. I have gone gluten free twice. Both for testing reasons. One time for nearly a year and this latest for a month. It is a hump that you have to get over, but ultimately you may really improve your health and for the better. Best of luck.
  13. When I was a kid I remember coming home and seeing a pizza box. I was naturally excited and as I opened it I would see 3-4 piece of pizza with no cheese. My dad would always sneak into the pizza and pull of the cheese and leave the rest. We used to get so mad because there was never left over pizza, just ruined pizza. Well my daughter does the...
  14. My doctor will not diagnose me. He is not being mean about it, he just wants more testing. I went one month gluten free and within days felt better. At my fourth week I started feeling like total garbage. My stomach pain returned although it seemed somewhat more tame, and I started getting headaches. I was frustrated, so I said lets test by eating it...
  15. My doctor will not make the diagnosis and when they did the endoscopy, they didn't take any biopsies and said everything looked normal. Basically I got stiffed in the process. The doctor has suggested its possible celiac and to give it a try. I did try it for a year before. I know my body is reacting to something in my diet and I do overall get some pretty...
