  1. when did the shuddering start? my son started with those at 7 months and was diagnosed with "infantile shuddering" basically bc the neuro didn't have a good answer. he's also gained weight poorly since then.
  2. the vanilla k-kritters are my son's favorite! popchips. annie's snickerdoodle bunnies - those are the snacks we rely on premade, everything else, we make. there's a mix for various baked good, but i can't remember it at the moment.
  3. wow - what are your dd's tics like? my son started to do what looks like a tic around 8 mths of age. he continued with it off and on, when we eliminated gluten, they stopped. now we're doing a gluten challenge and we've seen 4 in 2 days. i'd be more curious to hear about your daughters.
  4. Her symptoms sounds similar to my sons. He was born in the 95th percentile and then at 7 months is when he started to drop, finally now to the 5th percentile. We too got sick really easily throughout this winter, eventhough he's not a day care baby. Our dr's put us on an elimination diet and that's how we figured out gluten was a source of trouble. He was...
  5. Hi, my son was diagnosed with "infantile shuddering" back in August with the dr saying it was something he should grow out of. Well, we took him off gluten and they went away. Now we're doing a gluten challenge and they're back. Has anyone else experienced this? It looks like he's got a chill, like when your upper body kind of shakes, but he doesn't.
  6. Thank you guys so much. We have put him back on and last night he woke up once, but today his "shivers" have returned. Has anyone experience this? I will post something else about it. It's almost like a shiver you get when you get a chill, except he's not cold. He started doing this when he was about 7 months old and through an eeg we just got diagnosed with...
  7. Hi again, We spoke with our pediactrician and now I'm totally stressed out again about my original decision. She really wants to do the gluten challenge and do the celiac blood panel and suggested he eat FOUR slices of bread each day for a month before she tests. That seems like so much. He's only been off gluten for a month or so and we've seen many...
  8. if he's been off for a month and just had a little bit for 5 days, could we possibly get accurate results with blood?
  9. if he's been off for a month and just had a little bit for 5 days, could we possibly get accurate results with blood?
  10. thank you so much for your responses! i feel much better now about disagreeing with the dr and going ahead with what i feel best for my child. i think we are going to get him the genetic test and go from there. he's always been a happy child, but off gluten, he's happy, well rested and gaining weight!!! that should be enough for me thanks again for your...
  11. Hi! I just found this forum. I know my questions will probably sound redundant, but I wanted to know if my sons signs point to celiac. -poor weight gain after about 6 months -patches of eczema (not bad) -dermatographic skin -night wakings with painful screams, tucking legs to chest -foul smelling stools, sometimes with small round light colored...
