  1. My doc said it takes 3 weeks to get gluten out of your system. So this, as well as the cc risk, could be why you haven't seen major changes yet. But personally to me, if my headaches and GI discomfort was decreased or gone, I would say that's a major improvement and step in the right direction!
  2. I'm on a gluten free diet to see if it helps my migraines. My doc said it takes 3 weeks to get it out of your system and it can take 2-3 months to see a difference in migraines if I am in fact gluten sensitive. It'll be 5 weeks on Monday that I've been gluten free. No change in migraines though. How long do you think I should continue the diet. I will definitely...
  3. thanks for your replies!! any other suggestions??
  4. How do you get strict with the CC? I am strict at home but not so much when I go out to eat. What do you say to your server to decrease risk of CC?
  5. my doc said it takes 3 weeks to get gluten out of your system. i've been on a gluten free diet for almost 2 weeks. i've had 4 migraines since then. so i'm hoping it's just because gluten is still in my system, or even from withdrawal. i hope it helps!
  6. my chiropractor thinks i have a gluten sensitivity and wants me to take a blood test to see. the tests are covered by insurance and are expensive. i went to an allergist/immunologist and she said that they did not off allergy blood tests, only skin tests and only test for allergies that are life threatening, as in throat closes after eating the food, etc...
  7. I've been gluten-free for almost 2 weeks now but I fail to tell the waitress about how the cook should cook my food in clean pans, etc. What do you say to your server everytime you eat out to decrease risk of contamination with gluten?
  8. I've had migraines for the past 20 years... since I was 3 years old. I feel like I've done almost everything and nothing helps. Topamax, Nortriptyline, nerve blocks... nothing helps. It's been almost 2 weeks since I've been gluten free. I still have migraines. But my doc said it takes 3 weeks to get the gluten out of your system and headaches can get worse...
  9. Have any of you experienced a decrease in the number of migraines you get by going on a gluten free diet? I've had migraines since I was 3 years old and nothing I've done has helped. My chiropractor thinks I have a gluten sensitivity and thinks I should stop eating gluten and that it would help my migraines. Any one have any experience? Thanks!
