  1. I've been out in the sun today, after several weeks of rain ang fog. I suddenly realized that I have several little white spots on my arms and legs (shins) - the kind that my grandma has, you know... I then thought I remembered having read about these as a celiac symptom, but now that I tried to search for such information I couldn't find it. Am I wrong...
  2. I was told I needed to have gluten for minimum 6-8 weeks prior to the biopsy. I think that if you really want to have the biopsy, I would want to be certain that it will show the right result. But I also know how horrible it feels to have to eat gluten for so long...
  3. So you mean it would be a good idea to see a chiropractor first of all? because that is my plan - as soon as I have money for it
  4. Yes, but the numbness in hands and feet are mainly (though not exclusively) on the opposite side - the left. The neck, head and scalp-thing is mainly on the right. Hm. Could it still be a pinched nerve or something like that?
  5. Of course one could be vitamin deficient without any celiac problem, but malnutrition often results in vitamin and mineral deficiencies, as far as I know. My B12 level hasn't been checked as far as I know, but I have also read that that is not necessary - it takes a loooong time of deficiency for it to show on a blood test, and also there is no harm in...
  6. I have a list of symptoms long as....well, I don't think my doctor remembers or ckecks them all, but she believes they are all related - and she believes I have celiac (she's sending me to have a biopsy, even though my bloodwork was fine). I have been too a neuro, though - my eye doctor sent me because my one pupil is larger than the other. The pupil...
  7. They are methylcobalamin. And I'm not over 40 for another 9 years
  8. Anyone else experience this? My scalp is tender to touch, and also sore when not touched. And sometimes I have it aching in an area. This is mainly on the right side of my head. Also my right eye i dryer than my left, and my right ear ache more than my left. I also have neck pain, and it hurts to turn my head all the way to the right side. My...
  9. I am still eating gluten - I have to until the biopsy is done. The pills I've been taking are sublingual, and I'll be getting some more of those next week. Just wondering if it is possible that I need to take them every single day.
  10. I was diagnosed vitamin D deficient about 6 months ago, and have been on supplements since. Two months ago I had great levels of D - I'm still on supplements, though. I'm having a biopsy, probably in about a month. Now, some of my symptoms could very well fit the description of B12 deficiency. I understand that this, just like Vitamin D deficinecy,...
  11. Thank you for your thoughts! Yes, I'm definitely going gluten free after the test either way! Can't wait, really - as weird as it might sound If the test is fine but gluten is the problem, then it's called gluten intolerence rather than celiac, isn't that correct?
  12. My doctor told med that between 5 and 15 % (I think that was it) of people with celiac will have a negative blood test. Mine was negative, too, but my doctor still ordered me a because she strongly believe my problems are gluten-related. (I haven't had the biopsy yet, but will go gluten free after no matter what the result..)
  13. I am getting one - my doctor has ordered one, but there's a long wait. Hope to get an appointment sometime in June.
  14. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I have really bad skin. Around my eyes and at the 'root' of my nose I have red, dry skin. And I have looots of acne on my back and shoulders - never had this before! And I didn't mention that I did about a months of gluten free (not 'hard-core', but a careful attempt...) before my last doctors visit. By bowel seemed to...
  15. Hi! I've been reading ehre for a bit, and you all seem so nice and wise that I decided to register, to maybe get some good answers or useful thoughts I'm struggling quite a lot of symptoms, some constantly, others vary from day to day (or even hour to hour...). I first saw the doctor about a year ago, not much have happened. Dozens of blood-tests have...
