  1. I should clarify, I went gluten-free 2 years ago for 1 month, felt better, then went back on gluten . I just went gluten-free again March 1st.
  2. I'm positive I have a gluten intolerance if not Celiac. I have had problems for the last 12 years. Two years ago I was tested for Celiacs via blood work and it was negative, I turned down the Endoscopy due to cost. At that time I also did the Hydrogen breath test and it was positive and at that time I also went gluten free to try and figure this out. These...
  3. I also suffer from GERD and have been every RX PPI out there over the last 7-8 years. I'm currently on Prevacid. I'm 1 week into being gluten free and so far I haven't noticed any difference but I'm also being treated for SIBO right now too so I'm hoping within the next few weeks I will start seeing some improvement with my GERD. Jessica
  4. Great idea with the red for everything! Yeah I'm a little worried about the toaster being an issue, I think I will just get a whole seperate one for me.
  5. I'm 1 week into being gluten free and I'm the only one in my house doing so. I have a husband and 2 kids but I also have a home daycare with 8 kiddos so even if I wanted to be a gluten free house, there is no way I could afford to do so considering how many children I feed here. I have purchased a new toaster, I got a 4 slot toaster and used my label maker...
  6. Thanks to both of you for your replies, I appreciate it! I know antibiotics aren't good to take but I'm kinda freaked out by this diagnosis so I'm listening to the doc! They have no answers for me (surprise, surprise) by I was told by the GI to NOT take my probiotics until after I'm done with the antibiotic treatment. I have been on a probiotic since January...
  7. Thank you for your reply! No, Crohns has not been ruled out but my GI doesn't think that's what I have.
  8. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new here and recently diagnosed SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth). I'm currently on a high does antibiotic for 14 days after testing positive via the Hydrogen Breath test.I was tested for Celiac via blood work in May and was negative. My GI wanted me to get and Endoscopy but due to insurance reasons I turned it down. I have...
  9. Hello! I was tested for Celiac via blood work in June, test came back negative. The GI wanted me to get an Endoscopy done and after checking with my insurance company and finding out it would go towards my 2k deductible, I turned it down. I had the Hydrogen Breath test done last week and tested positive for bacteria in the small intestine. I was prescribed...
  10. I'm sure mine will be negative too, the only tests that have ever been positive for me are pregnancy tests . I had a test for H pylori a few months ago and it was negative too. My plan remains the same, I will go gluten free no matter what the results as I firmly believe that's my issue. Jessica
  11. I got a call from my the nurse informing me that my blood work was negative for Celiac, but my Vitamin D was pretty low and I had some inflammation. I did get the okay from the doctor to go ahead with a Biopsy/Endoscopy and even scheduled it for next month but after hearing back from my insurance company my deductible of 2k would apply. So that's not going...
  12. The more research I have been doing over the last few weeks is all pointing to me having Celiac. I had blood tests done yesterday and am waiting for the results. I was tested for Celiac via blood work about 4-5 years ago and it was negative so I was wondering if it's possible to test negative and then a few years later test positive? I also had an endoscopy...
  13. I'm new here and so glad I found this forum! I have been suffering from all sorts of things since I was about 15 years old, I'm 31 now. I'm going in this afternoon for blood work to test for Celiac. I have been tested before and the results were negative but from what I have been reading that's not uncommon. I was diagnosed with psorasis when I was 15, began...
