  1. Yep same. I am in BC and found the chex yesterday. I have seen Lara for awhile but not chex. Was happy about that.
  2. You can buy Kinni - Kwik bread mix. It is quite simple to make, just 3 parts of the mix with 2 parts water. It makes 2 good size loaves in under an hour. Very easy. I just made for the first time today and it came out fluffy. Feels dense but it was fluffy and resembles real bread. Not a bad taste either. You can make all sorts of things with this mix...
  3. Okay I just made a loaf of this bread. Turned out nice and fluffy BUT after reading the label I am afraid to eat it. It has 37% daily intake of sodium in one serving 910mg sodium WOW !!!! 300 + calories per serving and a whopping 10 grams in fibre. That is ALOT of fibre for a simple serving of WHITE bread !!! You could buy like a whole grain squirrely...
  4. Thanks everyone. this is helpful.
  5. gluten free for one week and I felt great. BUT today I felt so good that I took my daughter to swiss chalet. I thought, maybe I will try something with gluten in it and see how I do. Well I just pigged out today seriously bad. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with ribs and it came with a huge pile of french fries, coleslaw and a bun on my plate. I didn't eat...
  6. Okay week 1 pretty much done and I have not had diarrhea once !! yeah. I did have a bit of a crampy day but might of been from oatmeal. I bought gluten free oatmeal but who knows or I figured a yogurt I bought didn't sit well with me. Anyways, my shopping bill has gone up. I spent quite a bit more on food this week. I went to choices market today...
  7. I would never let him cook for me on this diet. ha ha !! I just want him to cook for himself and the kids when I am feeling overwhelmed which during this first week I am overwhelmed !! Right now I am on sick leave from work and want to get back to work so I am really stressed about trying to get this all right and trying to get to a manageable point. it...
  8. I have been gluten free for 5 days now. I don't even know if I truly have celiac but am trying it to hopefully manage my IBS. Well was doing fine each day until today. I am getting headaches and I am very irritable...like really irritable. I feel like I can snap at people easily and things are just annoying me really easily. That aside I am miserable...
  9. day 4 gluten free. Not easy to find things to eat but managing. I feel a whole lot better since I started. Maybe just a coincidence I don't know, too early to tell but my tummy is not bloated and I have had regular AM bowel movements each day. I usually am crampy, bloated, diarrhea or constipated with spastic colon. I am off work right now do to symptoms...
  10. It really could be alot of things. like scar tissue or adhesions from your surgery. Lower left pain can also be associated with diverticulosis / diverticulitis. Those are just to name a few. We can't say that it is celiac. I would ask your doctor about it though.
  11. the depressive like symptoms could be a symptom of B12 deficiency. This can be a side effect of coming off of gluten and not getting enough of these essential B vitamins elsewhere. You can get your B vitamins tested if you ask your doc !! could be lower iron levels too. good luck.
