Diagnosed with Celica Disease in Jan 2011 through biopsy

  1. How critical is it that pots and pans be replaced if originally used for gluten foods, and now are used for non-gluten foods? I was diagnosed back in Jan 2011, was amazingly symptom free for about 3 months, and the past 5 months have been pretty bad - random bloating, gas pains, abdominal pains, etc. Mo95% of all the food we cook with now is gluten-free...
  2. Thank you. I may end up going this route, but you are right....wheat and/or soy seem to be in EVERYTHING!!!
  3. The original diagnosis back in Jan was celiac due to the villious blunting. A gluten-free diet did wonders and I felt great for over 3 months. Then I started having some mild nausea and stomach issues, returned for a follow up biopsy and was told (after 5 months on gluten-free diet) that my intestines no longer showed signs of celiac (good this was the...
  4. Thanks for the reply. You mention soy causing similiar blunting...this is the first I have heard of this. Also you mention fructose causing you issues. With a positive biobsy, were you diagnosed with Celiac? Also if you seem to have a worse reaction from fructose and soy, do you now eat gluten without a problem?
  5. Thank you for the quick reply. This dr put me on an antibiotic for a bacterial overgrowth. Is it common to develop bacterial overgrowths from Celiac?

The first 3-4 months on gluten-free diet were WONDERFUL!!! No stomach issues at all. After being on a gluten-free diet for 7 months I went to another Dr for a second opinion because...
  7. I was diagnosed with Celiac in January 2011. The first 3 months on a gluten-free diet I felt great. Then about a month ago I started getting nauseas quite often, and my mood changed (I was always very happy and hyper and lately I have been much less of both). Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is this common with celiac disease?
