  1. In July my gliadin results came back positive. Just my IgG. It was 100. I had an endoscopy which was negative. I have had gastric bypass and the phys. asst said could pose a problem. Then in August they said my labs could have been false positive, so even though I had been gluten free for a couple of weeks I repeated the test. It went down to 56. So the Dr...
  2. Raven wood and Skylark, just got my daughters celiac panel back and her IgG levels were slightly elevated (mine were highly as indicated above). My endoscopy is this Wednesday. But all of this seems wild. First, my dad being positive on his biopsy only, me having high IgG, my daughter moderately elevated with my other 3 children negative period. BTW, my daughter...
  3. Thank you raven After doing some research I'm seeing that the IGA being low actually is common in those with celiac disease. Everyone on here is saying it should be high. The IGA reflects not getting enough nutrients. With a low IGA and high IGG are specific markers of celiac disease???? (That's what I'm getting from this article) I don't know if I'm understanding...
  4. I could use your help too. Just got a copy of my results. My family doctor says its definitely celiac sent me to a nutritionist but my GI doc wants a biopsy. So here it is. My tTG was 3 negative My IGA is 13 equivocal My IGG is 100 positive Help! I've been gluten free for a week. I guess I started to feel better but my GI doc said to go back on gluten...
  5. My tTG IGA was <3 My GLIADIN IGA WAS 13 My GLIADIN IGG WAS >100 Dr says I'm positive for celiac but my lab test says for the tTG less than 5 is negative. Mine is <3. For the IGA 11-17 is equivocal mine is 13. Now the IGG says over 17 is positive. Mine is 100. Aren't all the tests supposed to be elevated? Or is the most accurate one the IGG...
  6. I just got a copy of my labs and my GIG is 100. Does anyone know what this is? It says it is positive but can it be a false positive?
  7. Just received a positive result from my celiac panel. I am so confused though because I was reading that people with hypothyriodism have false positive results for celiac being that it is also an autoimmune disease. I was dx with graves disease at age 17. Had a thyroidectomy and now have hypothyriodism (hashimotos). Now at 40 and after being so sick for so...
