  1. Thank you for your insights. I guess that I just need to stick with my diet and hope for the best. My wife, although supportive, is growing impatient. She's having to make a lot of sacrifices, too, and is probably even more frustrated than me with my lack of definitive progress. Here's the link: During the first 2 1/2 minutes, she talks...
  2. I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance about a month and a half ago and have tried to be gluten free since then. Unfortunately, I have experienced little improvement in most of my symptoms, most notably eczema, canker sores, and itching attacks. My wife and 2 year old son are not gluten free, so that adds another challenge. Here's my concern. I remember...
  3. Thanks Shauna! As I said, I'm pretty new to this. I appreciate the advice. Bruce
  4. I recently discovered that I am gluten intolerant. One of my many symptoms was occasional "itching attacks", where my skin starts itching like crazy (especially on my back) and raised lines appear where I've scratched. I've been trying to be gluten free for the past month, but continue to have these random bouts of itching. In an attempt to deflect away from...
  5. Thanks so much for your thoughtful response. I must confess that deep down, I knew the answer to my question before I even asked it. I've just gotten a little frustrated. After 3 weeks of being on a gluten free diet, I haven't had any noticeable improvement in my major symptoms (insomnia, moodiness, acid reflux, depression). I guess that I don't really have...
  6. I just want to confirm that this makes sense. I had a Celiac Panel done with the following results: Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody, IGA TTG AntiBody IGA <3 Immunogobulin A 296 The conclusion of these results were that I don't have celiac or gluten intolerance. Also using blood tests, my GP said I was...
  7. I'm pretty new to the whole gluten free thing, but Udi's bread is really very good. I keep it frozen. When I want to eat a couple of slices for a sandwich or whatever, I just break them off the frozen loaf and heat them a minute of 2 in the toaster.
  8. Thanks for replying. It's good to know hear that I'm not experiencing anything out of oridinary. I guess I'll just stay away from almond milk for now. I must confess that I'm a little depressed about all this. Avoiding gluten completely feels unsurmountable at times. Add to that all of other foods that I apparently need to avoid and the fact that I never...
  9. After 49 years, with symptoms like chronic insomnia, eczema, bloating, constipation and frequent itching attacks, I've finally been diagnosed with gluten sensitivity. My GP thought I was nuts when I asked him to test me for celiac disease and was probably pleased with himself when my blood tests came back negative. Unconvinced, I decided to send a stool sample...
