Hi Peaches, I am very familiar with the parental pressures! I went vegetarian at a very young age and it's still a struggle. They don't understand that I don't want to "contaminate" my food with meat. With things like tomato sauce, they don't understand why I won't eat it if meat was cooked in it. Thanks! I'm going to print this and take it with me to be sure I get tested for everything. Bowel trouble does run in my family, I think much of it has gone undiagnosed. My aunt has ulcerative colitis, which I understand may result from a gluten intolerance. I'll let you all know what happens Friday. It's great to have the support offered in this group... -

Thanks everyone! I am going to see a specialist on Friday and we'll see how it goes. Is there anything specific I should be asking him? This is my first trip to a gastroenterologist and I'm not quite sure what to expect. I'll let you know what he says! -
