The national research center for Celiacs in LaJolla, CA posted an article that 1 in 15 patients with mental disorders treated for 1 yr on gluten-free diet had all or most of the symptoms disappear. They do free testing as well. -

A genetic trait triggered by high stress or pregnancy for those diagnosed late twenties on. I pass out almost immediately after an episode of gluten & my mom who still eats wheat on purpose sleeps for 12 hours. She can't grasp that its poison for her. After 50 their minds are harder to adapt. Hope your dad gets better. -

My mom has the pin dot thing, and she was diagnosed with celiac. It going away now that she's on a strict diet.
