  2. I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Terra brand Sweet Potato Chips? They say gluten free on the package, but I have read some older forums that say they are not safe because of cross contamination? Thanks!
  3. I have been taking Garden of Life Primal Defense Probiotics since I was diagnosed. I take them twice a day, once with breakfast and then once again with dinner. This brand has the highest concentration of good bacteria that I have found, and they have seemed to work the best. What you should look for is a variety of probiotic species, and of course make sure...
  4. thanks! yeah, i think i will start keeping track of what i eat. also, i have been taking a heavy dose of probiotics twice a day for almost a year now. is it possible that maybe since my intestines are starting to heal that this dose is too high and is causing my bloating?
  5. Hi! I am a 21 year old female and I weigh 125 pounds and am 5 feet 8 inches tall and have been gluten free for 7 months. I have noticed recently that my abdomen, only bellow my belly button, will swell up during the day. In the morning, right after I wake up, my stomach will be totally flat. When I eat my first meal, and then continue to eat through out the...
  6. Hey guys, I was just wondering what were some good things that you have found to eat/drink after you have been glutened? I have been feeling really tired and sick lately, but havent eaten anything, to my knowledge, with gluten in it. I was thinking I just need to clean out my system. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
  7. thanks guys! i think ill stick it out with the probiotics a little while longer. is it possible to build up a dependence on probiotics, though? that was my only reason for trying to stop, but clearly i am not ready.

  9. Hi! I am 20 years old and was diagnosed with Celiacs a little over three months ago, I have been eating gluten free ever since. I have also been taking a strong probiotic twice a day. I have recently tried taking the probiotic only once a day, in the morning, to see how I would feel. I have noticed mild stomach pains and bloating only at night after dinner...
  10. Hi! I am 20 years old and was diagnosed with celiac 3 months ago and have been eating gluten free ever since. Before I started eating gluten-free my periods have always been fairly regular, I did go for a few months when I was 18 without getting it at all. But I had been regular for about a year leading up to my diagnosis. Since I started eating gluten-free...
  11. yeah, i was diagnosed in may of this year as well and i have read that withdrawal can last anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months depending on the severity of your gluten intolerance. also, gluten free food does not contain as much fiber and nutrients as gluten rich food (bread, pasta). i definitely find myself really hungry even after i have just eaten...
  12. thanks everyone! heres to hoping theyre related so my TMJ will go away!
  13. I had similar withdrawal symptoms as well! Your body has become dependent and almost addicted to gluten since you cannot tollerate it. This results in withdrawal-like symptoms. I was totally asymptomatic before I was diagnosed but as soon as I started eating gluten-free I had stomach pains every night and was very irritable and tired. My symptoms only lasted...
  14. Hey guys! I am fairly newly diagnosed with Celiacs (less than 2 months), but I have had TMJ problems for a long time (4+ years). My mom, who also has Celiacs has TMJ as well. I was just curious as to whether anyone else has TMJ problems along with Celiacs, and if you saw them clear up after a while eating gluten-free.
