  1. I need to correct the previous post. I have been telling him it is not normal to throw up and have food get stuck.
  2. My husband has EoE and Celiacs. He actually was diagnosed with Chrons too this summer through a camera. All his Celiac antibodies were extremely low after being on the diet for three years, but he was anemic. He takes the inhaler once a day for the EoE. He had allergy testing done and tested negative for any food allergy. Since it seems worse at certain...
  3. Thank you everyone. I think I'll start with more labs. My husband had genetic testing done and was homozygous for 2 and 8 so our kids have at least one set. My daughter has had a full panel done twice due to anemia and is negative. She refuses to do an endoscope and since she is 18 it's super hard to force her. I'm going to henpeck her when she comes...
  4. The insurance will help pay, but that's the deductible. Already called all the siblings (parents passed long ago) and they are all going to get checked. All of them are in the medical field and are very realistic about needing to get checked out. Thank you all for the advice.
  5. Thanks for the advice. My side is horrible with autoimmune issues. I have four siblings and all five of us have at least four autoimmune conditions. All of us have hoshimotos. (I only had three till yesterday.) One of the reasons I decided to get tested is because two of my sisters who are in their mid fifties (I am 47) were diagnosed last month with...
  6. Yesterday I found out that my that I tested positive for tissue transglutaminase AB, IGA. The lab only said 4+ H with the reference range of <4 U/mL. I asked if the 4 meant my level was 4, and the Doctor told me that it could be higher, but now the lab just puts 4+ because anything higher needs checked out. Because my husband has Celiacs I told her...
  7. I love this idea of the IGG being positive, but not the IGA. It would totally explain why my negative Glaidin IGA, with sufficient IGA, husband had such a great response to the gluten free diet and such a quick and brutal response when he consumes gluten now after being gluten free. If this was me, I would just not eat gluten (i am 95% gluten free just...
  8. Starting last October my 16 year old daughter started having nausea every couple days for no reason. She was also breaking out into hives and having anemia symptoms. Testing revealed anemia and Autoimmune Urticaria (hives). She also has Hoshimotos Thyroid disease-diagnosed age 9. We fixed the anemia, got control of the hives with medicine, and got...
  9. Thanks for the reply. That is exactly why I asked for the test, so we could catch it early. I think I will ask for the Total IgA and beg for the Deamidated Gliadin Peptide IgG version. I will ask her Endocrinologist Doctor to order them since she has been his patient for 6 years and he has a soft spot her. (She shares his daughter's name and DOB) The...
  10. My husband's brother and Dad both have non-biopsy diagnosed Celiacs. They both found that once they took gluten out of their diet their rather severe tummy troubles and some other issues are gone. Neither would even think of intentional consuming it again to have a biopsy and even a small amount leads to a bad response. My 15 year old daughter has Hoshimotos...
