  1. I was tested a few years ago for Celiac and came back negative. My GI told me I might be a little gluten sensitive but he didn't think it was a big problem for me long term. My 6 year old daughter has also had GI issues for years and after trying dairy free and various medicines hoping she would "grow out of it" we recently had her tested for Celiac. ...
  2. No, he didn't test her total IgG, just the total IgA. I had blood tests run a few years ago and my AGA IgG levels were also high, I had damage visible during my endoscopy but he never told me how bad it was. My GI just said I was reacting to something but my IgA levels were fine and I didn't have the genetic markers so it wasn't Celiac. My daughter's symptoms...
  3. Here are her numbers, I'm not sure if her IGA numbers are low or just within the normal range. 2014: Demediated Anti-Giladin IGG: 33 strong positive (20-30 is a weak positive, 31+ is a strong positive) Demediated Anti-Giladin IGA: 1 negative (normal is 0-19) TTG IGA: less than 2 (negative is 0-3) Total IGA: 42 (normal is 44-89) 2015: Demediated...
  4. We're currently trying to figure out of my daughter is celiac or just gluten sensitive (she has high dgp IGG numbers but is IGA negative) and I think I'm gluten sensitive. It looks like there are a lot of research articles on long term effects of untreated celiac but not non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Does anyone know if there are long term health effects...
  5. My 6 year old has had cronic C and heartburn since she was an infant. Sometimes it goes away but she's constipated most of the time even with Miralax or other stool softeners and the heartburn is pretty regular. We had blood tests run in Feb of last year and the ped GI said to either scope or wait and retest every year or so. We took her off of dairy for...
  6. My 5 year old daughter had a blood test for celiac by her pediatric GI due to cronic constipation and heart burn. Both her IGA and TTG are normal but her total IGA was below normal and her IGG came back as a strong positive. Her doctor gave us a couple of choices, 1) we can get an endoscope to look for damage from celiac and if there is none he's fine waiting...
  7. So if you're gluten sensitive you're also gliadin sensitive right? From everything I've read it sounds like they go together and often times gliadin is the main culprit. Is this correct? Maybe my results came back with gluten marked as a moderate reaction simply due to having a leaky gut? Or could it be that I'm sensitive to wheat and not gluten?
  8. I had both genetic and biopsy testing done doe Celiac and both came back negative, I don't even have one of the Celiac genes. I was still having digestive troubles though and since my GI doc noticed I had a leaky gut when he was doing the biopsy he suggested an (Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned) test. This test showed that I...
