  1. Thanks for the reply! There are a few concerns for me. Can a normal biopsy change after 4-6 wks. on gluten? Blood test just sounds easier. And my other concern is I will be having my kids tested one is 10,7, and 1 1/2. Their dr wants them tested which I am glad but it worries me that I have all these bad symptoms when I eat gluten and not show possitive for...

    ARCHIVED What Do You Think?

My general dr did blood work which shown a high possitive for igg low for iag but my gi did the full panel which came back normal but I was gluten-free when she took that test. My upper and lower scope test came back normal so she doesn't consider me celiac but my general dr does??? I do well on gluten-free and horrible when on gluten. So my gi says I will...
  3. I have always had baby fine hair but even though I have gone gluten free my hair is falling out alot. The thing is, I am not sure if my vitamins contain gluten. There are words like dextrose, dextrin and maltodextrin on the ingredients. Are these gluten? Can you buy gluten free vitamins and shampoo at the grocery store? How long can problems like this last...
  4. I would also like a copy. rhondaslusher1@yahoo.com Thank you!
  5. I knew about the cancer and even osteo but the others I had no clue. My Grandpa passed away 1 yr. ago last March from Kidney cancer and my grandma shortly after had many gallstones to be removed and it was bad enough to affect some of the liver.? I lost a baby a little over 2 yrs. ago who had spina bifida. Twice within the last yr. my potassium level dropped...
  6. What is a ttg? The only ones I was tested for was Igg and Iag along with upper and lower scope test. I only shown 1 high possitive which was 42 for igg. Don't have scope results yet but GI thinks it looked fine, no masses or polyps. I talked with my general dr tonight and he says he believes 1 possitive is enough to consider me celiac but he's looking into...
  7. Has anyone heard of terminal ileum? It was on my paperwork after my scope test. Here are her exact words "Could not get into the Terminal ileum." Is this an important part that should have been viewed?
  8. Thats the "funny" part. I tested iag 5 but the igg units were 42 which my general dr says is a high possitive. When they got done with the scope test I was kind of out of it so reading those results and asking questions was not to my advantage. She also did blood work prior to the scope test and I was so nervous about the scope test that I forgot to ask about...
  9. I was reading my results which the dr says looks good other than waiting for the biopsies to come back and here is what it says..... Could not get into the terminal ileum. Do any of you think this could have been an important part that was missed? I am so concerned that although there was not damage yet I had a high positive igg that the dr won't consider...
  10. I am confused. I had an iag and an igg. The iag shows only 5 units but the igg was 42, Which I was told is a high possitive. I know that being on a gluten-free diet makes the symptoms go away because I have tried it and plan to stay on it but I went in today for a upper and lower scope test and although I don't have results on the biopsies the Dr says things...
