Holy Moly! You have made me rethink my entire children's lives!! We are looking into going gluten free for my oldest because of GI issues, JRA, intense itchy rash...but her blood work was normal. Cortizone??? You mean the stuff I've been lathering on my daughter's intensely itchy skin might be more of a hinderance than a help? I don't remember her ever having issues in earlier childhood--she had her tonsils out at 11 and does seem to get sick easier than the rest of my kids. Now I'm wondering if this isn't at issue with her younger sister (now 11) who has ADHD...
