  2. I have a bottle of Bac-Os from before I was diagnosed. The ingredients seem fine, and it says "contains soy ingredients" in big letters. Wouldn't it say "gluten" too it it had wheat in it? (I'm a vegetarian, too, so real-meat bacon bits are out.) Thanks for any help.

  4. Wow, sounds like a lot of people don't like Ener-G! It's all I've had for months! I don't mind it too much (aside from the mold), if it's toasted. But I'm glad to hear that there's better stuff out there. I'm going shopping tonight. Thanks!
  5. I've been using Ener-G breads for my lunch sandwiches for months now, and I've accidentally purchased a moldy loaf twice, and I've seen moldy loaves in the stores countless times. I was just making up my sandwich before work, and in the middle of the loaf, mold! Ugh! I have to think of something else to eat beside sandwiches. Are there any other good...
  6. Thanks for the replies. I saw my gastroenterologist today, and he agrees with some of the above posts. He interprets my symptoms as possible lactose intolerance and excess acid.   7. Aside from the obvious gluten-related foods, what is good/bad for recovery? I've read about eating simple/whole/bland foods, or foods that won't further irritate the intestines. Is it true that a strict gluten-free diet is not enough? Also, I'm a vegetarian, so that limits my choices. Thanks for any help!
