I realized that I had celiac when I figured out that the itchy bumps on my backside were actually dermatitis herpetiformis (my doctor mis-diagnosed this as herpes, but the medication she gave me for it did not help). Since I have given up gluten (5 weeks ago) my DH has cleared up. I do still have abdominal bloating and gas, though. How long will it take this...
