  1. Expect that's why celiac disease goes hugely undiagnosed! Thanks for the reply!
  2. Hi Everyone I have been lurking on the boards from over here in the UK and posted a couple of times. I had blood taken about 3.5 weeks ago and I received the result today that the Celiac test was negative. Looking at other people's results on the boards, I am confused as I don't exactly know kind of panel they run in the UK, but here are my results...
  3. Thanks, that's a good idea! From what I have read here, there are a lot of people who know a lot about interpreting results! Which is great, because you usually get just a "negative" or "positive" but things are not always so cut and dried!
  4. Hi Folks I am in the UK currently waiting for the results of my celiac blood screen. I was told the results would take approx 2 weeks! Just wondering, what do they actually do to the blood when testing it as it seems strange for the results to take so long? When I spoke to the receptionist at the surgery she said the Celiac tests always take longer...
  5. Hi, I am in the UK too and have seen these online, but don't know if somewhere like Boots sells them over the counter? Seriously thinking of getting one. I had a really good appointment with my Consultant yesterday. He agrees that because all the tests so far have come back ok (abdo scan, endoscopy - although was not looking for Celiac damage as we hadnt...
  6. Hi Everyone I posted a few weeks ago, wondering if I should mention celiac to my Dr....got some great advice, thank you all. I have been popping in and out of the site as I can relate to so much each of you are going through or have gone through. Well, as I had a long time until my next Dr appointment, I decided to go gluten-free for a short while...
  7. Thanks for the replies so far! Much appreciated. I already had a breath test for h pylori - this was negative. I am waiting for the result of a h pylori biopsy taken during my endoscopy on Monday this week. I had an abdominal ultrasound last week, the doctor said my pancreas looked great - but I guess they probably can't tell if its doing its job properly...
  8. Additional information: I have been given Omeprazole and Lansaprazole, neither of which are working - not surprisingly as it seems that acid is not the issue. Endoscopy appeared normal with no signs of too much acid causing the problems. Thanks everyone!
  9. Hi Everyone I came across this board in desperation trying to find some answers for my symptoms, which seem to be baffling my Doctor! I wonder if I should mention Celiac as something they should consider? I have suffered on and off for many years with Gastro-issues....this last "flare up" has been going on since February. Apologies in advance...
