  1. well i was three months gluten free but then I was back on gluten for three months. Mostly my problem is a BM, which is both strained but usually loose if not diahrea. I go several times a day, but I dont always get results, if you know what I mean. And no matter what I ate during the day, I am always extremely bloated by the end of the night and uncontrollably...
  2. I went on a gluten diet for three months and then underwent both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. I have an appointment to see my gastro on the fifth of March (seems like a long time for a follow up!). The initial paperwork he gave me said "r/o early barrett's" and I was too drowsy to ask what that meant. Does that mean I have early barrett's or it is suspected...
  3. I have been gluten free for two months already. Just FYI. Thanks for the response!
  4. I tried gluten free ( sister is a celiac) and was not seeing as much of a difference as I thought... So I tried not eating meat in addition to gluten free (meat makes my mom sick).... Still no difference! Started taking probiotics and saw an extreme difference... For three weeks and then back to my dogestive problems. I don't know what to do.
  5. So I had my blood work done... came back negative but I was only eating gluten for a couple of weeks so no surprise there. I went back to gluten free anyway. My doc wants to do an endoscopy despite my results but I just started a new job and can't risk being sick at work... although this time on the gluten free diet I'm not finding any relief. I'm taking...
  6. I know it is different for everyone but I kind of wanted to know how long it took people to have more energy and feel less fatigue after going gluten free? I just got a negative bloodwork back but I was only eating gluten for ten days... My doctor wants to do an endoscopy but I just started a new job and I need to be healthy. I need energy!!!
  7. Sorry for asking another question! I feel like I'm blowing up this board, but I'm just trying to reassure myself and understand this whole process... What does pale stool mean? I noticed mine are a light brown when I et gluten but during the month that I was gluten free my stool was much more solid and way darker... Now my stools are kind of loose and don...
  8. Well my symptoms are worsening a little again. I don't know if there is gluten in the elmiron capsules... But if there is, maybe the fact that I didnt stop taking them when I thought I was gluten free will help the accuracy of my bloodwork. Of course, idk what I will do when I go gluten free again. Maybe empty the capsules into water and take them that way...
  9. I just realized I never checked to see if my elmiron prescription was gluten free... Did a google search and got mixed results.... Maybe I was never gluten free after all?
  10. Okay so I recently realized I never actually checked to make sure that elmiron was gluten free (I have IC). I've seen some conflicting posts on the matter. Some say the medication inside the capsule is gluten-free but the capsule itself is not. Does anyone know?
  11. They seemed to be gluten free I just wanted to ask! It's a generic brand sold at sams club. Is it safe? Does anyone know?
  12. I'm just starting to doubt I even have celiacs because my symptoms are not as bad as other people on this forum, for most people here the idea of eating gluten is terrifying. If my results come back negative I'll be even more in dpubt
  13. My last post got a little beyond what I needed...basically I have been gluten free for a month and am now wanting to get a blood test. My doctor gave me the paperwork and told me to get the test in two to three weeks. I have mostly easy to live with symptoms... Dizziness, fatigue, constipation, bloating, gas, loose stools... My sister has celiac which is...
  14. By the way, I dont mind the discussion going on as in the midst of it I am still receiving answers so that's fine by me
  15. I have mostly easy to live with symptoms... Dizziness, fatigue, constipation, bloating, gas, loose stools... My sister has celiac which is why I suspect this is where my symptoms come from. I am on a fairly high gluten diet, much more than just four slices of bread. Definately felt better gluten free, but I can manage a few weeks eating this way... I just...
  16. Does the amount of gluten make any difference for te length of time?
  17. Well if y insurance won't pay for it, can I pay for it myself?
  18. Oh that's true about the cost! I don't know about that.
  19. I guess the best course of action for me would be to do the gluten challenge for three weeks like he asked me to do and if it comes back negative ask if I can do it again after another month or two? Does that seem doable?
  20. Without getting too much into my story, I went gluten free about three to four weeks ago, a slip up or two along the way, and am now seeking testing. My doctor gave me the paperwork to get tested and said to go to the lab in two to three weeks, eating gluten in between. I'm going to not hold back and eat like I used to... But I don't know if two to three...
  21. I want to preface this post by stating I have not been diagnosed with celiac and I have only been gluten free for two weeks(seen an improvement tho!) So I went to freebirds and ordered only gluten free items (the same meal I had another time and felt fine). This time I got mug root beer instead of Sierra mist and I have really bad gas right now I know...
  22. I have only even gluten free for a week but I have noticed my appetite has really reduced, is this normal?
  23. So I know some people thinks I am jumping the gun thinking I have this just because my sister does. Mostly because I have not really complained about my symptoms... But I made an appointment to see a GI. Only problem is it is not until aug 14. I don't want to be bloated for graduation. What do I do? Stop eating gluten so I can feel good for graduation on...
  24. I started the gluten free diet on Saturday and the next few days I started to really see an improvement. But today I know I didn't eat any gluten and i feel terrible. The constant gas and urge to go even though I don't have to are back. Is this normal? I still don't even know of this is what's wrong with me but with my sister having this issue I feel it...
  25. What are your thoughts? Is it important to be tested or, it you feel better from not eating gluten, should that be good enough?
