  1. TSH 4.53 This isn't a good number. It's high normal. I tested high normal for MANY years before I was finally diagnosed with hypothyroidism. When I was diagnosed, my numbers were still only this high- so the levo for me was trial and error. Turns out, it was the right decision. Most people feel the best around 2-2.5. Personally I like to stay at 2.
  2. Right, they are used to fight infection. But, sometimes your body will send them when something is just inflamed. For example, interstitial cystitis. So I was wondering if the inflammation in the digestive tract (like celiac) could cause the leukocytes like IC does (which is inflammation of the bladder.) Thought it was worth a look into. My doctor? Hah...
  3. No, gluten loading right before testing does not cut the mustard. Shooooooooooooot. Many people find that without the piece of paper that says "celiac" that they start wondering if gluten really was/is their problem. I could see myself doing this, but I feel SO much better. It would be awesome to have a concrete answer though.... For...
  4. Thanks, but this was in 2009. :/ I think I just need to make a new apt. He did a biopsy and said it came back fine, but wasn't specific.
  5. I understand its important to keep eating it, just not happy about it. I'm going to request the blood work next Friday or Saturday. Would it be enough to start eating gluten again, like a day or 2 before? Or does it need to be continuous? Is it really important to have a celiac disease diagnosis? Does that change a lot of things? Also I have...
  6. If I post pictures of my upper endoscopy, would it be possible to tell if celiac or GI is likely from just looking at them?
  7. For the person who asked here was my thyroid results: TSH 4.53 (.3-5.00) It is still going down, was elevated while I was really sick with salmonella Free T4 19 (12-22) Free T3 5.3 (2.6-5.7) TSH at 4.53 is NOT normal. This is about where mine was for a LONG time, but I def. have hypothyroidism. Finally someone put me on levothyroxin to just SEE...
  8. Okay, good to know! So now I'm at a loss. I feel so much better, I don't want to eat gluten again. I was all excited about it, but now I feel like poo realizing that it's MORE tests. I FEEL like I have been a pin cushion since I was 15 If I ate gluten for 24 years (literally, my mom breast fed and she ate gluten....) will it really all go away in a couple...
  9. Thank you! Lots of good info!
  10. Alright. For about 9 years now (since I was 15) I have always had SO much gas, (sorry, maybe tmi)cramping, pain, bloating and my stomach is constantly swollen. If I got nervous I would need to go to the bathroom IMMEDIATELY. I have an ulcer (in the deuodenum ((sp?)) diagnosed when I was 20 via upper endo) along with IBS (which I truly believe is a catch...
