  1. My daughter was diagnosed and went gluten-free at age 3. She was irritable, had diarrehea, bloating, gas, etc. She was the same weight/height as age 2. When I look at pictures of her from age 2-3, I feel like a terrible mother - she was thin, pale and just looked generally unhealthy.   2. I am going to agree with everyone else. You need to get your son on the diet and show him how important it is. My daughter has gluten-free Pantry's Brownie mix at her birthday party (with the kids). For our family, we do something everyone can eat - ice cream sundaes.
